I just purchase a brand new scooter never ran before it's a 2002 model. I place all the oil and gas in the tanks and purchase a new battery, but it still not running it would Rev up then die. So I'm not sure if it is something I need to fix or remove since it brand new? I not to sure how these works on this I just got it because it was really cheap but it doesn't run so I don't know what to Do. Also the front head light doesn't come on only the turn signals, horn, and brake lights is it the wiring could be off or does the scooter have to be running in order for the lights to come on Someone please help I need it to work.

Sounds like a gas delivery problem,
Take the fuel hose off the carb and stick it in a container and crank it, you should see fuel streaming out and when you stop cranking it should stop.
check for any of the VACUUM hoses around the carb that may have come off or may be cracked from age.

I'll try it. The scooter brand new and it seem like its trying to start but isn't.

Since it is a two stroke, I am assuming it has a SLIDER TYPE(CARB) throttle cable going down the center of the carb. You might want to give the AIR RATIO screw 1/8- 1/4 of a turn CLOCKWISE to cut off some of the air so it sucks in more fuel. Here is a picture of what your carb probably looks like or very simliar notice the AIR RATIO SCREW to the right near the AIR FILTER. The CENTER BIG SCREW is your IDLE SPEED SCREW that screw if you turn it CLOCKWISE it raises the IDLE Counter CLockwise Lowers the IDLE. Alleyoop  |
