So- I have a 2016 TaoTao Quantum Tour 150. Had to do some work on my muffler. My question is- is there supposed to be a gasket between the engine and the exhaust pipe? I may have lost it if there is . Can I "make a gasket? Any ideas? Thank you

if you dont have a exhaust gasket you first notice vibrations from the engine plus you can have gaps between engine and exhaust and that's not good at all, as dirt can enter the engine and you can loose compression. You can buy gasket material and do your own one like i do, more cheap and plenty

You can make a cheap easy and reusable gasket out of thick copper wire Cut a ring a little smaller than the recess in the head anneal the ring to make it soft and flatten it out until it's just barely to big To fit then sand the gap where the cut is until it fits Sanding the gap is important as it helps to prevent leaks. File out any hammer marks and re anneal the ring. To reuse just anneal
