I have a longcase 50cc. Got the orange torque spring installed, everything else is stock.
Im only reving to about 5300rpm wot, max speed.
Scoot launches around 2309rpm, if i want to rev higher and launch at a higher rpm i need stiffer clutch springs, and lighter weights correct?

Ive read that, several times. Thats how i come to the conclusion i did. Im more of a hands on person, but my wallet cant afford a bunch of rollers and all three springs sets for the clutch to do trial and error... Guess im just looking for confirmation before i spend my hard earned money on useless mods...

from my experience the clutch springs determine where your clutch engages. ideally with the proper weights it will put you into the power band. for example my clutch doesnt engage till about 6k rpms. once it engages I can adjust what the belt does by the weights of my variator.

Yeah, think im going to go with a cvt tuning kit off of amazon and install the blue clutch springs and try to get her around 5k launch and 8k cruise.
