What 90cc thread? What's a cpi? How did this happen? Is that a two stroke engine?

Dang I know exactly how you feel even though mine was not a Stage 6 a clip came out and ate up my BBK . On the new one I tugged on the clips before sliding the cylinder down

Mine only the wristpin clip came out . I replaced the rod bearing as the wristpin was stuck and I had to tap it out with a small hammer

Piston looks scarred like a soft seize

Looks pretty chewed up. If there was a good scooter junk yard around for parts and a good machine job you could upgrade now to something even better. Good Luck

Were the gaps in the clips installed towards the top (or bottom, either ok. ) of the piston. That thing about "An object in motion will remain in motion..." applies to the ends of wrist pin clips...

clips are fine the were still in the piston grove it was the bearing in the wrist pin, yea the bearing just came out and chewed everything up, has for the motor the stock crank has over 10000 miles on it so i plan on a ground up rebuild on it but like skuttadog said i could slap another bbk on it and it would be fine but while its off the scooter and apart i might as put a new crank in now then later, i probably put a naruku hpc crank but that later down the road

I like how the Stage 6 FCHP crank is all metal where a Hoca stuffer has plastic parts . Did the needle bearings fall out ? With a FCHP crank not only is it rated for higher RPMs I think 16k where some is 18k ( Dremel tool speeds dang ! ) and I saw a Stage 6 BBK that says it can go up to 14k which would be a screamer but also a gas hog and would need an over priced pipe as I have seen some for + up to 787 dollars , YIKES . I would not want to run it at those insane speeds , well not most of the time LOL , but I like the fact that it can handle more than needed to ride and perform well on the streets . Unsure if it was a single ring which I know can rev higher but not hold in compression as long as a dual ring can . My BBK looked similar to yours and the mangled wrist pin clip was in the pipe . It ran like a boss and luckily just as I got home fizzled but had enough to get home then die . Compression test was only 60 PSI but forgot to twist the throttle WO . I used my finger nail to try and smooth out some of the impacts in the head and around the edge where it seals and put in a new piston and rings ( THANK YOU Teddy ) and 45 idle jet . It would not start but had PSI . Luckily my scooter dealer just happen to have the same BBK I do and I bought it but used the new piston I had installed and kept the other as a spare . I made dang sure the wristpin clip was in there good by seeing if I could tug it but not in so like I was removing it . I found using angled needle nose pliers worked the best and I put in a wristpin on the right side before putting it on the crank as its hard to get at with the engine on the frame . I oiled up everything with Lucas 2T oil very good and slid it together . I decided to give it a test fire before putting on the shroud ETC and have to take it apart if it did not work . Woohoo it fired up after a second of hitting the starter as I had drained the bowl in order to change the idle jet and test a main jet . 130 was waaaaaay to big . I lost my 110 but put in a 105 and its almost perfect . I only ran it for a minute at most mostly at idle only gave it a sip of gas . I then retightened the head nuts and put it back together . The 45 IJ really made an improvement as the 40 was fine for a 49cc but would idle high or erratic at times . After a fast run it would idle high when I stopped then idle down but with the new IJ it does not . CPI is a great brand from my research as I have not owned one but would chop off some toes for a CPI GTR . I just missed getting a used one with 700 miles and was blue like all of my scooters are . I bought my Jonway Magnum that day as I liked it too . The GTR has 17 inch wheels , LC 2T and looks like a crotch rocket . Hard to belive its a 49cc . The aluminum piston and head are soooo soft as to why I bought an iron block after reading horror stories about seizes in aluminum where iron can be saved by honing the cylinder . Still researching what would fit on the crank and ports line up with a piston from www.wiseco.com like I did in a racing Honda CR125 . They are machined from billet then forged twice plus have a shorter skirt to reduce weight . Prices are high around 150 for piston and rings but its made to last and made in the USA which is too rare these days . Sorry for being long winded Teddy as I am a scooter geek you could say . I hope you getting running again so you can make 4T guys get 2T envy . How about a stroker crank ?

That's cool I've never seen the inside of a two stroke before.
