I have a thought ,need a answer ! 49.5 cc There was a question about putting the scoot on the center kickstand last week and I also have a problem getting it in place .I went and checked the stand on my scoot and with a close look ,I see that the arm that you stand on is pretty small in protruding out. When I put my foot on it to push it down ,my foot hits the kick starter ,thereby taking some of the lift force from the kick stand . When the stand is down ,the lift arm on my scoot seems short and close to the frame. Are these stands generic? And would it be possible to get one with a longer extension that my foot stands on to push. The kick lever on mine is one piece of iron,it is a forging and part of the overall stand unit so I can't just add a section. Is it possible to find a stand from a different manufacturer that I could replace the existing stand? Any suggestions ? Attachments:

howdy, this won't be highly researched or highly informative, just over the coffee discussion.
most of these are designed to clear specific obstacles and are designed for the specific machine. there are some techniques such as grabbing the hand hold rail on the rear of the scooter and lifting a bit as the scooter moves rearward during deployment of the center stand. you might also get the stand down a bit then get a new angle for the foot which may allow you more weight on the lever. i guess my answer is too simplistic but there it is.
lotsa miles and smiles to ya ken

When I 'm putting mine down, I'll lower the stand to the ground and rock it a bit to make sure it's evenly placed. Then position yourself close to the scoot, place your left foot towards the front. Holding on to left handle and rear rack. At the same time,..lift the back and step down towards the rear with your right foot on the stand. A 120 lb. girl could do it....lol...just takes some practice.....Just don't let go until it's steady on the center stand, or,....oooops Just watch that it doesn't fall away from you.

Thanks for the info guys ! My problem is that the peddle arm is small and close to the frame and when I push down on it my foot hits the kick start pedal . I guess I will just have to work with it . Maybe add a larger piece to the foot part of the stand . Nothing is perfect in this world ,I guess !!!
