50cc "tank" scooter.
RPMs are reading about 3000 with the back wheel off the ground and 2000 when stopping drive with the brake.
No more slack to play out with the throttle cable.
Just put in new CDI box.
And new carb.
What are we thinking?

Idle screw ? or maybe the cable housing has a sharper radius than it should. Some times the little rubber boot can come off
And mess with the throttle pulley.

Thought I had played all of the idle screw out... but no.
It's running great now. I feel so embarrassed.

Dont, it happens to the best of us. 12yrs experience working on everything from fighter jets to the kitchen sink and I still make easy mistakes when working on these gy6 clones. Important thing is to learn from it, and have fun while doing it. |
