I used flikr.com on the old site. I had to upload the pics to flikr, downsize them, and then download them to my laptop, and attach from there. I can't do that anymore?

I use 16-50 gears and 5 gram sliders. Everything I did is below in my signature. The only thing missing is I added some foldable footpegs to the front fairing for comfort.

Yeah that's a real good idea too. I thought of wiring mine to a plug too, but I really never remove it,just for service. So I left it hard wired. Guess I'm a little lazy too these days :DI have the running lights, brake lights and directionals all wired. I used the LED adhesive strips from wall mart

I just noticed you say you went wot downhill.WOT down a hill will definitely danage the motor. You probably were closer to 11,000 rpm. I have 16/50 gearing in mine, and on long wot runs I do 9,000-9200 rpm on a regular basis. with no adverse effects. When you re-build, make sure you set the tach to 1 plug fire per revolution. This way, you can keep an eye on it. And I would suggest you Up-gear

Its really easy.Just get to the bulb socket, figure which of the tw wires (not the ground)are for the brake light circuit, and tap into it.. You can ground the other side if your brakelight anywhere on the frame.

I use my stock airbox, and my airsal BBK screams. If you have the right fuel-air ratio, the stock airbox is Not too restrictive. Its all in how you tune it. I have a 2 stroke type exhaust with the expansion chamber, and it came stock on the scooter. I kept the stock airbox too. Jusy=t to let you know, I originally got a scrappydog BBk and head. I made holes in my airbox to let in more air. Guess what? too lean, and it soft seized and destroyed the piston.I than got a hoca piston, but the compression was too high, I couldn't get it to run right. One of our fellow members suggested the airsal. I got that and a keihin carb, and I couldn't be happier. You don't need to suck in all kinds of air to get performance. The trick is, the right air/fuel ratio. A lot of people right away put unifilters and open exhausts on right away thinking it will get them a lot of performance. WRONG! The right jetting can give you the proper ratio of fuel to air. By sucking in too much air, you blow up your BBK fast. I know, I did it, and learned the hard way.

The airsal kit you got is one of the best quality kits out there. They are designed for use with a stock head. The digital tach shoukd be set on 2. 1 spark per revolution Even though it's a 4 stroke, the plug fires on every revolution. I suspect that with the uni filter, you probably ran too lean and too hot. The weird thing is the color, but that may be due to oil after it lost a ring. I would either upjet, or use the stock airbox. I have an airsal. stock head, A9 cam, jet and stock airbox, and I'm very happy. Try again, but watch the mixture. You must've been at wot and too lean.

Things turned out well for you (and me thank God ) because we were responsible parents.(a dying breed).Too many individuals and companies are now targeting young people who may not yet have good enough judgement to steer clear of with apps and games, and moneymaking schemes. Responsible adults arent always around to monitor these things. How many sexual predators have been able to carry out their sick fantasies because technology facilitated it? I am by no means saying that Technology is solely to blame, but it is getting a little bit much. Kind of overwhelming, and it is definitely having a detrimental effect on civilized people, and enables normal and not so normal people to do things they may not be able or even think of without it. I agree, It is the greatest tool ever,at the same time, it is becomming the dumbing down of society. Too many tech addicts can be just as bad as too many drug addicts.

you are right on track. Don't expect to see any greater difference in top end with a performance head.you did the gearing, now you should get a variator with sliders, and maybe some 1500 rpm clutch springs. an a9 cam in the stock head will help a little, but you have already upped the displacement for power, and done some gearing, now do the rest of the drive system to use the power better

Does or can? Should we get rid of that destructive technology we call a pen and paper? People might begin to rely on note taking and never use their memory. It's ridiculous to say just having it will destroy your mental faculties. You have a computer obviously, perhaps you should destroy it because, some people are consumed by online gaming or porn. Technology isn't of itself destructive. The way people use it might be. If it's all bad I suggest you go live in a cave and gather berries but be sure to not use a basket or a knife or clothing cause technology is destructive. Absolutes like yours are always wrong... I graduated with a degree in electronics in 1978, before the internet. I walked away from that field because i said back then that it would eventually destroy civilization. It wasnt until the 's before I got a computer. I have witnessed society and morals go downhill since. Technology is fine for those of us who know how to live without it. Many highway deaths are due to cellphones and texting, as well as millions of dollars in lost production. Identity theft ... and youre right, It is the people ,and how they use it that is the issue. But tell me with a straight face that these violent video games do not de sensitize and de humanize the addictid players contributing to violent crimes. Technology isnt to blame, but it does facilitate these things If you can't see that, maybe you are in the cave Also, When I went to my engineering classes, we werent allowed calculators. We had to use slide rules. I challenge any college student today to use a slide rule. Yes Technology has actually made people dumber.Simple things and common sense are becomming less and less evident in people
