[replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto]Okay, I figured out your instructions - i removed the vacuum hose and poured in a teaspoon of gas so that it went into the intake.
no change in starting.

[replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto]Sorry, I should have mentioned that. It worked after the BBK and it has worked this spring. the only trouble i've had this spring is with the kickstart getting pushed in, off of its c-clip - but with the addition of a new washer and c clip I think i got that problem resolved. Of course I rode scooter to work in the morning and then it wouldn't start so i couldn't go home :-(.
the idle speed screw in the carb, I had to adjust that a bit as it started stalling while idling and I'm pretty sure it is in a good place now.
I'm a little confused by Tvnacman and alleyoop's suggestion - are you saying I just need to make sure that gas is getting into the carb? Would you mind clarifying?
thanks so much! p.s. I did remove the gas line from the carb and the vacuum line, when i sucked on the vacuum line it opened up the intake and let gas through, which is what i meant by the vacuum is fine. . . . sorry, i'm still learning all the terms.

I have a 2009 Schwinn Sport 50. It has a FY139QMB engine. Last fall I put in a 100cc big bore kit. The problem I'm having right now is that it won't start. I've checked the vacuum on the fuel line, and it seems good. I've adjusted the screw on the carb. and it seems to be good. I opened up the carb and looked to see if it was all gunked up, but it looked pretty clean. I took out the spark plug and cleaned with a wire brush. I am new to all this and trying to learn, so I didn't know if it was generating a good spark, so I ordered and just installed a new spark plug. Still nothing. here's a video with the sound of it trying to start:
the starter cranks and it sounds like it is even turning over, just not catching. I think it might still be problem with spark plug, as you can see in picture it looks like the spark plug cover with the wires does not go all the way up against the plastic housing like it used to - i tried putting in the old plug again and it still doesn't, so not sure what i screwed up.
any help would be appreciated, would love to get this thing working so I can enjoy the nice weather before it gets too hot!
