I had an account on the old website but it's no longer active. So I created a new one here. That is why only the one post. I haven't been online in over a year. I really don't have much use for the internet. Lots of trolls. Anyway, thanks for the reply Rick. I spoke to my friend and let him know what you said he he said that I overreacted and shouldn't have made the post. So I apologize for that.

This past week I picked up a 2011 VIP Moped from a friend of mine. After a little bit of work I realized the automatic choke was bad (O-ring was worn out) and there was possible contamination in the carb. So to save myself a bit of a headache I decided to get a new carb. My friend whom I got the moped from offered to spring for the cost since he felt bad that the Moped wasn't in running condition (though it had been a few days before). So I told him about ScrappyDogsScooters and gave him the link for the carb in question.
He ordered the carb this past Friday and imagine my surprise when he got an e-mail on Monday saying that the carb is currently out of stock and it will be three weeks before it ships.
Now to my way of thinking there should have been some sort of notification when he clicked the buy option tab that the unit wasn't in stock or a notice next to the described part that it is indeed out of stock. Since this moped is to be used for work, I now have to spend the extra cash to go get an inferior Chinese carb somewhere locally at a much higher price. To be sure I wasn't paying for the first carb but now necessity forces me to do just that if I want this moped to be ready to ride to work or just walk the 10 miles. Scrappy's uses PayPal which means even if my friend wanted a refund it's still a three week wait. (Ha Ha we got your money sucker!) I feel like such a sap for touting ScrappyDogsScooters as a great place to shop. I guess the phrase "buyer beware" applies here.
I'll make sure in the future that when someone asks me where to get good, reasonably priced parts that I steer them elsewhere. Where I live there is a huge market for used Chinese scooters with all the moped rental agencies.
