I hope so. She rode a Vino a few weeks ago and wants one. I can't see going from a 150 to a 50 (and paying good money to do so). She's 5' and with most seats 30" or higher, her options are limited.

;o I'll check the valves first. I hadn't thought of that, but it makes sense. It first started doing this after I had a scooter shop clean the carb after it sat for a couple of years w/o being used. When I picked it up, it was idling faster than before. That's been at least 4 years ago and I just ride the scooter every few months to keep the fuel from gumming up again. On the center stand the rear wheel is always turning - even after I lowered the idle. No tach, but it sounds about right. I haven't checked valves since the 70's. I wonder if it's like riding a bicycle?

I've got a problem on my wife's Schwinn Graduate 150. At idle, it surges. you have to hold the brakes to keep it in place. Then when you do give it throttle, it jumps off the line. I rode WOT, so it never bothered me, but she's started riding again and the lack of smooth throttle modulation bothers her. I lowered the idle speed and now it just dies at stops. I assume my problem lies in the clutch. Before I tear into the CVT (never done it before, but kinda understand the principle) is there anything specific I should look for? It's her bike so I have to do it right the first time - or she'll just say it's trashed. and want a new scooter. I'll be diving into it tomorrow afternoon, so I'd really appreciate any suggestions before I open it up. The bike has 1200 miles on it.
