The best advice is to talk to the DMV. They will know the local laws.
Here in Utah, the size of the cycle you test indicates what size cycle you can legally ride. I tested on my 150cc scooter, and so I am limited to riding a 250cc cycle or smaller. Also, most MCS courses have an agreement with the DMV so that if you successfully complete their course, you don't have to perform the test with the DMV, and they provide the cycles, too.

I had recently replaced the intake manifold on my scooter and noticed that my fuel efficiency had decreased afterwards. I opened her back up to see if I could find any obvious problems (I am very new to scooter maintenance) and I found a small hose not attached to anything. I have no idea where it came from or where it should be attached. Does anyone have an idea? The scooter is a GY6 (2008 Vento Phantom). Thanks in advance.
