If you didn't mind going used, and where you're at is like where I'm at... You could find a scooter on craigslist that doesn't have a title and get it for $150. Scrap the scooter for parts. Fix up the engine and slap it in your old scooter. I totaly  with you. Here in Atl. I see lots of 50cc & 150cc scoots under $ 250. Dave |

in the 3rd dimensional reality, nothing is completely as it seems (or seams,)   take notes Close but no Quepy doll. I'm impressed at what you came up with, though not complete.
