I am extremely bias as I work for an indirect Verizon agent. If you don't live in a major metro area your only 2 options are AT&T or Verizon. And Verizon's 4G network is larger than AT&T+Sprint+TMobile combined. And by July or August all of Verizon's 3G network will be completely 4G. As far as the phones go, never buy referbished phones and never buy a Samsung phone under $100. The Galaxy S4 will be out in May and will be a kick phone(I've played with the preproduction version. But a Motorola is the best value and by far the best built phones. A RAZR M, RAZR HD, or RAZR HD MAXX(40 hour battery life). Here's an article from The Verge that breaks down the cost of the major carriers for a family of 4. www.theverge.com/2013/3/26/4150428/how-much-do-t-mobiles-new-plans-save-you-on-an-iphone-5/in/3913245I won't make any money off of your plan but I enjoy knowing people get their money worth. Feel free to pm me if you have any question on phones or whatever and I'll make sure you're getting the best price at you local Verizon. Also, the hotspot feature is free for all phones on the new plans.

[replyingto=michaeljc70]michaeljc70[/replyingto]I'm 5' 6", 225lbs and have a 2011 TaoTao ATM50-A1 with 1k on the odometer and completely unmoded. GPS Verified on flat fresh asphalt is 45MPH. So, very doable.

By "choke", I mean the red button that slides left to right on the right handle bar. But we took the bike apart if only for fun and to change the oil. Haven't gotten the plugs yet but will next week. Snapped it all together and it appears to have fixed it, so not sure what was up but it seems to be running great. Tops out at 45MPH, GPS verified on flat ground.

Bought a 2011 Taotao ATM50-1 with 960 on the odometer(that's 960km I assumed). Ran great for the test drive and was always garage kept. I keep it under a car port now and due to horrible weather in Michigan was unable to ride it for a few days. I finally took it to work one day(7 miles/20 minute ride of stop and go) after the rain let up. Parked the bike out back of work until I noticed it was starting to mist. I pulled the bike in to the back room at work where it sat for 5+ hours. I went to start it up at the end of the night and noticed I left the choke on(no0b I know). So I bought a trickle charger and the next day I left it on until the charger said full(5 hours). Still i got nothing, nor could I kick start it. To be thorough, when I say "nothing", I mean I push the electric start and there is absolutely nothing. I will pull the brake and get a full tail light, but the headlight does not turn and nothing even cranks or buzzs or whirls or beeps(the horn does work though ). As we speak I about to go buy the NGK Iridium plugs and some Synthetic 10w40, so maybe I will find a loose wire tonight when i change that. Any help towards getting this thing to fire or just any other adjustments or improvements would be very welcomed. Also a recommendation to replace the stock carb seems to be the first thing I should do and that the fact it's almost got 1k on it with out seizing is luck.
