Yeah, the one plastic gear in it just shredded.. when I opened the cover it was a pretty nasty sight. I was thinking maybe stiffer clutch springs would help prevent this, but the only site I found them on no longer carries parts for my scoot. If I could find the stiffer springs, would it be worth trying?

Thank for the advice guys. I spent a lot of the night and most of this afternoon playing with the carb. Last night, i sealed off the port in the carb that accepts the oil(i removed the pump when i got it) and it seemed to fix the problem all around. Tried a run this morning, and it would die off the line with 3/4 to full throttle. Unsealed that port only to realize my clutch wasn't catchin. After i took some emory cloth to it and put everything back together, it ran fine. Im stumped, but happy for now

I have a 2005 qingqi scooter(d1e41qmb motor) that i've been tinkering with for a while now. Last summer, i put a tb60 bbk on it and replaced the carb and clutch. It seemed to run fine, but i didn't ride it much until recently. Lately, it seems to sputter and intermittently loose power once it hits a certain rpm(usually around 25 mph depending on road grade, not sure the actual rpm). If it can mke it past that 'hump' it seems to run like a champ. Anybody have any ideas? Im pretty new to scoots, but seem to know more about them then anyone i know, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Whenever it hits a certain rpm(im usually doing about 25-30 when it hits, depending on the road grade) it'll start to sputter and intermittently loose power. If i can make it past that 'hump', usually on a flat plane or slight slope, it'll be fine. It's just that sweet spot that it bogs down. I've been told a performance coil, along with rejetting the carb would fix the problem. If the stock coil should work, then maybe i just have a bad connection somewhere. Still need to rejet to see if that makes any difference

I have a 2005 qingqi scooter that i've been tinkering with for a while now. It has a tb60 big bore kit on it, and was told i need a beefier coil. I've looked around, and found a high output coil for 2 stroke mineralli style motors between 50 to 90cc. I was wanting some advice as to whether or not it may be compatible with my style motor. Sorry for the stupid question, but i haven't been able to find a straight answer yet
