Yeah...I'm not buying into the valve adjustment theory. 500 miles on the engine and it needs a valve adjustment??? I think you're jumping over several smaller issues that could be the problem. It seems more like a fuel delivery problem and not something as major as a valve adjustment.

Poured fuel down the intake. Runs then dies. Tried again. Starts. As I feather the throttle I can feel the engine start to die. Tried more gas down the intake. Got it to run for about 20 seconds feathering the throttle. Got it to rev up a little. Then died. Battery is dying now so it's on the charger.

Ok. Update. Pull the air filter cover. Shot carb cleaner down the pipe. Tries to start and then dies.

OK. So I have a taotao 150. Has just over 500 miles. New last year, so not just sitting around. Driving around the neighborhood, everything is going fine. Pull up to a stop sign and it dies. Won't start. Check gas, has gas. Turns over. Won't start.
Where should I start first to start eliminating problems?
Thanks in advance.
