this web page explains in detail the engine code: www.scrappydogscooters.com/Tech_Talk_with_Mo_.htmli have the same scoot, it is a 1p39qmb. the stamp is infront of the airbox, above the kickstand. top number is engine code. i haven't heard of a qmb129a but if they exist then it has a 29mm piston vs a 39mm piston for the 139QMB

Update: NEXT button by vendor banners. How many times have you been asking about or reading about a certain thing from a certain vendor or someone in a thread said go check out so-in-so which is one of the preferred vendors that are on the banner scroll and had to wait until that vendor's banner appeared before you could click on it and go to their site? Wait and Wait. Not anymore. While the banners continue to scroll as they should if you want to scroll through them fastly all you have to do now is click on the "NEXT" button at the bottom right side corner of the banner. They will scroll as fast as you can click the button. Reach your desired vendor then as in the past click on the banner and it will go to that vendors web site. JR awesome! you have no idea how frustrating it was waiting on that banner... it will certainly be helpful as more vendors advertise there. only thing missing now is a back button.

In California any bike 50cc and under doesn't require a M/C endorsement. The good thing is that by taking the class, one does not have to take the test at DMV. same here, buying 150cc in the very near future.

Opened up the cvt and pulled the clutch apart everything is moving freely. Cleaned everything up and filled the slots with the pins with grease. bummer... was convinced that was holding your scoot back. Alleyoop has chimed in and he can certainly help you better than I.

... but MTII has a weekday promotion for $229 and offer thur/fri classes every week. only problem, it is about 21 mile ride. i'm not a fan of riding my scoot that far so i haven't registered yet. Don't they provide bikes for class use? I know my beginner's class was mandatory we rode their bikes (all Rebels). That way everyone was on equal bikes, no "I'm on a little 50c scooter, he's on a 1600cc road-hog cruiser" kind of thing. They save that for the experienced class (where I was the only one besides the Ninja-girl on something smaller than 800cc) Otherwise, don't you get to take vacation? I know that even our part-timers at work get to take days off. >'Kat yes, plan to use their bikes but i still have to get there on my 50cc. as for my schedule they lost an employee about 2 months ago and have had problems replacing. they training a guy now so hopefully he works out because i'm taking vacation end of April to visit family on the west coast of florida on my new scoot (hopefully )

Im open to anything, ill check that out. if the engine is tuned... idles fine and revs with no issues then (in my limited experience) i'm close to 100% certain it is the torque driver.

apparently not all rollers are alike and it is possible to have rollers 1mm (give or take) too small. seems like it is a common problem from what i have read. i'd buy new rollers or sliders... go with a reputable brand and you shouldn't have future problems.

if the carb is tuned properly then you'll have to change the variator weights. it's an easy process if you have an impact wrench and even easier if you have a tachometer. if you know your rpm's on take off and you know how heavy your current rollers are then buying replacements is a snap. for every gram heavier you can expect about 500 less rpm's on take off. so for example if your rpm's are at 5800 on take off with 8 gram weights then going down to 5 gram weights will bring your rpm's up about 1500 to put you in the power band. you want rpm's between 7200-7500 on take off for best acceleration. The weights are 5g as it is now, I should go lower? ok, i just read your other thread. if both are set up the same then i would suspect your torque sheave (driver) is holding you back. i had this problem on a new clutch assembly recently where the pulley was difficult to open. turned out the oil seals were very tight. i replaced them with some used ones and my problem was solved. unless someone else with more experience has better advice i would pull apart your clutch. at the 11m41s mark is the part i was having problems with. the pulley was very difficult to open on mine. i'd watch the whole video if you've never opened your cvt cover.

after talking with my boss it seems a thursday/friday course is my only option without ruffling any feathers. currently the school i was planning to use doesn't have any thur/fri classes scheduled but MTII has a weekday promotion for $229 and offer thur/fri classes every week. only problem, it is about 21 mile ride.
i'm not a fan of riding my scoot that far so i haven't registered yet. i emailed learn2ride about future thur/fri classes and still waiting for their reply. i may have to call since it seems they don't check emails often.

one time i forgot to reattach the hose under the valve cover. it was very loud. check your exhaust and pair system hoses for any leaks.
