I will try it, I fill my old school running the pump slow while watching the level. So it doesn't shut off on me.

In one of my other posts I asked for technical writing tips, your post answers that question.. My goal is to post like you do. Great article and pictures.

This post is to share my experience so far with a genuine hooligan 170i
1. Changing the gear oil.. A. You cannot really check the gear oil, to set the level the gear oil, is drained and filled with a measured amount. B. Refilling the gear oil by letting the excess drain out the fill hole resulted in way more oil, which leaked out onto the rim.
2. Engine oil.
A. When I slightly over filled the engine oil, the engine lost a lot of top end and lit a dash light.. Reading this forum, clued me to the overfill issue, and I used a generic plastic mustard bottle, with a piece of, clear hose on it to drain some out.. All better. B. Today when I was adjusting the valves I might have seen how the ECM picks up the overfilled oil.. There is a vacuum sensor in the valve cover like an electronic PCV valve. This must read the disturbance in crankcase vacuum and light the trouble light.
3. Performance. Longevity
A. The bike is an easy 60 mph cruiser. Mine doesn't suffer the massive over reading reported elsewhere.. Mine is off 6 mph at 65
B. I am at roughly 4 thousand miles and have replaced nothing not even a headlight bulb. The original tires show little wear. And the tuning of the cvt is perfect.
I don't know if this is the correct thread to post general comments about models. This is only my second post. And the help page is confusing if the moderator has a few suggested links for new forum members. Or technical writing tips. Thanks

I currently own an SSR rowdy 150cc (Big ruckus clone, kinda). Worked out several known issues on it already, headlight, carb, stock drive belt, . Might have tech to share after I get comfortable with posting. (led headlight conversion, auto choke bypass, muffler issues)
This forum has been a lifesaver while I lurked
