Hello,i'm back.to me that hardest thing about scooters is diagnosing them to find out exactly what the problem is.thats harder than doing the repair itsself,if i new exactly whats wrong with my scooter i would've been fixed it.i had recently replaced the starter solenoid and the new solenoid is making the clicking noise just like the old one did when i try to start a scooter.so what would be the possible problem(s) now? could it be that the starter is locked up or what? oh and i even put a new battery in to and all it did was make the head lights, blinker lights, and horn come back on....still like i said scooter won start.

i'm not 100% sure but i think the solenoid/relay needs replaced because i'm working on my scooter as i'm typing and the winding noise is coming from the solenoid/relay when i try to start the scooter and i tried turning that batter nut and starter nut to the solenoid/relay with a small wrench and its making sparks even the the scooter turned off.do i need to disconnect something to keep the battery and starter wires on the solenoid relay from making sparks when i turn the nut?

One day I was driving down the road and out of nowhere my scooter shut off on me and i haven't gotten it going ever since.my scooter has 4,000 miles on it.The lights don't,the horn don't work,nd the scooter engine does crank up when i turn the key in the switch.I took my battery out and took it to the scooter shop for testing and they said the battery is no good. They charged the battery and it was suppose to get 12 volts and it only got 6 volts.
I'm hope that the battery is the only issue, but it may lso be something else like the charging system or whatever.I havent drivin my scooter in 6 months because of the problem, therefor the scoot probably built up alot of dust and the carb may need to be cleaned. If i knew excactly whats wrong with my scooter I would try to fix it myself, but the problem is I don't know how to diagnose/troubleshoot a scooter.
Can yall please help me on what yall think may be wrong with my 150 cc scooter? I would go buy a new battery for it,but I don't no for sure if thats the only problem. All help would be appreciated
