Well, it looks like I'll be the proud owner of this Linhai for a couple more weeks at least. I can't find my title, so I'll have to order a duplicate.

Well, the valve adjustment seems to have done the trick. It started pretty easily after I finished the work, idled 45 minutes without stalling, restarted over and over, immediately each time, and performed well on a quick trip around the neighborhood. I just need to button it up tomorrow, take some photos, and put it on Craigslist. Thanks for the advice, guys. I'm getting out of scooting for now, but maybe I'll be in a position to score a nice Burgman down the road.

Hi all,
I have a 2008 Linhai Aeolus 300 that I haven't ridden since last summer, and I'm trying to get it ready to sell. A couple times in the last week I've started it up and either ridden it or let it idle until warmed up thoroughly. The radiator fan had cycled on and off a couple times, and the temp gauge showed a normal operating temperature. Then, while it was idling, it just died. After that it became difficult or impossible to start, and if it started then I could maybe keep it running by revving it a lot, but it would die again as soon as I let off the throttle. It had no desire to idle at all.
So whaddyya think? Time to gap the valves again? Or a problem with the coil or something?

Hi all,
I used to post on Scootdawg as unclebuggies. I haven't been on my scooter for most of a year for several reasons, including illness, but primarily because the thing's not running. It refused to crank one day last summer. After a new starter relay and battery it cranks, but won't fire. I just don't have time or the inclination to fix it right now. I'm willing to consider an offer for all or part.
2008 Linhai Mainstreet 300, dark gray metallic paint, all stock. 5,589 miles. I'm in the northern suburbs of Atlanta. Pm me if you'd like to know more. Thanks.
