Thanks for all the help everyones so helpful My experience is mostly panels, fuel lines, gas tank, etc the basic stuff. I've never really dug deep into carb/engine stuff because i never had to. Im one of those guys that fixes it as it breaks instead of randomly just digging into it to see how it works. I'm going to wait till payday thursday so i can make sure i have the tools ready. If i cant fix it ill either buy a new carb and put it on or suck it up and take it to one of the local shops.

www.ebay.com/itm/Motorcycle-Scooter-Security-Alarm-System-Anti-theft-Remote-Control-Engine-Start-/361600161795?hash=item54310c9803:g:-IkAAOSw-4BXY7bf&vxp=mtrI had this exact one on my 50cc tao tao. The first thing you should do is remove the front panel of your scooter and check to see if its pre-wired the 50cc tao tao's are pre-wired well my model was atleast. The panel will be the very front one. To see if its prewired it will have the white thing with all the wires like in the alarm. IF so all you do is plug it in use the sticky part and now you have keyless start and a good alarm to keep people thinking twice of stealing it. I always got compliments on mine because people were suprised it had an alarm. Mine didnt drain my battery but i did drive it alot it only sit at night. your battery will die if you leave the alarm on for days and dont drive it.

Hello im new here i know a little about scooters from one i previously owned. I just bought this jonway 50cc scooter. It was sitting in a garage for three months. When i first looked at it i had to charge the battery then the scooter was idling fine. I tried to test drive it when i noticed halfway through the throttle it would bog out/cut out etc cough basically. Now i cant get the scooter to idle. Theres also a little bit of gas leaking out of the air filter box. Ive been thinking of doing these things in the morning. -Checking the lines for leaks -draining the fuel to see if somethings in there. -cleaning the carb
What i need is help or some tips. I've never had these problems so its all new territory for me.
