I was lucky and gained speed just from my bbk (before adding gears). The reason why is because I weigh 250 and the stock weak motor would not pull my weigh. It didn't have the power to get the belt up any higher on the variator. Playing with the weights would have also helped with that issue but I had bbk stuck in my head at the time.

Now that you have the bbk you may want to get some scrappy gears to gain another 5-6 mph. With my bbk and gears I'm getting a top speed of about 44 when I push it. It will run 40 without pushing.

The frame work looks a little weak but I like the concept.

Up to 2005 was a 2 stroke. They went to a 4 stroke in 2006.

BP premium seems to be a pretty popular choice for scooters.

I'll try that in the morning. Sounds like a great tip.

I moved the air/fuel mixture all over the place trying to find the sweet spot but I think the free flow air filter is just letting it it get to much air. Best I could do was get it to run about 10 mph. I'll pull the carb tomorrow to see what size jet it has.

Update on where I'm at with it.
Dumped gas tank because it was full of water and crap. Put one of my after market air filters on it just see if I could get is started. Now it starts easy and will idle. When I have it on the kickstand I can twist the throttle and it will rev up just fine. When I get on it and try to ride it loses all power under load. But i can let off the gas and it idles fine. I'm guessing the air/fuel mixture just needs corrected?

Thanks for the information. Looks like the the intake manifold needs replaced also because it has some small cracks that may or may not be affecting it also.

I got it to start and run and when i would give it throttle I would have to pick up one finger a little to give it enough air to keep running. It crazy how much the air flow on a two stroke can mess with it running or not. Totally different the the gy6 carbs.

When I do get it to start it will idle and then die when giving it throttle unless I'm spraying fuel into the carb at the same time. No air filter to be found anywhere and she doesn't know what her and her ex did with it. I haven't checked the other stuff yet. Will look at it again this afternoon.

Once again a friend has brought me her vino after I have told her I'm not very familiar with 2 strokes. The issue is the fuel delivery. I can spray starter fluid or squirt gas in the carb and it starts right up and runs for about 20-30 seconds. I pulled off the petcock and sucked on the air side and nothing. Thinking it might be the petcock I ran a fuel line straight to the carb so it would be gravity fed and still nothing. Now I'm confused as to which one it would be. Any tips and/or tricks to figure this issue out would be great.
