Good call Scooter I can screw on the Orange boot to the stock wire, Or just use the "racing" Wire and boot....
THANK YOU BEENRIDING!!!!!! (Resistor Element) Pencil lead thing then Spring, then brass spark plug connection!
Got it brother---- Now lets see if I can get her to at least turn over
Checking spark and getting back to you all within the hour.......
Today she will Start!!!!!!! Or maybe not- wish me luck guys!!!!!

Yeah, But, what are the guts in a spark plug boot? What is that Pencil lead thingy (for lack of a better term)..... I understand how the spring works Sure I can throw parts at it, knowing how it works would better suit me though. Trying to do this with a ZERO dollar budget, I already have replacements parts for most common items......CDI/Coil /Plugs/ hoses etc..... Either the original or current parts WERE working. There is a copper or brass threaded fitting the plug end goes into.... Under that a spring and Pencil lead (if that is what we are calling it)---- Thanks again for your time The scoot is a BD50QT-3 1P39QMB Not a BT50QT-9 I already went through the BT diagrams on this forum.....I'm sure it's the same thing though. This is what was once called a secret 60cc BTW... Not sure how that relates to a spark plug boot though

The whole "Racing" gimic is a bit frustraing at times, I did it to my stock coil/boot though. ( silly me) The orange one still works- a bit loose- but enough to check spark I hope......
A spring and small round cylinder almost like a Huge piece of pencil led came out...... I assume I can just put them back in.... I don't know what order though........ Does a Spark plug boot diagram ( with pics ) exist?
I went back to the original CDI and Coil for initial start but, I may have to use the racing coil unless some brilliant forum member can point me in the right direction.........

OK, so......
I am reviving a sleeping giant ( my 50cc beast ) It has sat for at least a few years.... About the time scootdawg switched to this forum...
ANYWAYS, Today is the big day- I will get her started!!!!!!!
What I have done-----
1) Cleaned fuel tank, Carb and replaced Fuel lines filter etc....
2) Got a new battery, Charged it and the scoot is cranking.....
3) Changed oil.......
Now my dilema-
I have an orange Coil/CDI and the original Coil/CDI. I figured I would return the scoot to stock condition for initial startup---
As I was fiddling around, I managed to loosen the stock coil plug boot innards. I taped it in my hand.
the Spark plug connection/ a spring and small cylinder fell out of the spark plug boot..... What order do these thing go back in? - I could unscrew the orange coil to look myself but, I'm being lazy... Is there a Coil/spark plug boot diagram?

Lots of folks may agree with me but, the hardest part is accually doing what you want. Being Young at heart means nothing unless you have the smiles to back it up.........

That Merc has a decent price tag when things go wrong..... As you know Oneweheel..... A wagon is the old/new SUV.......... Ugly as some are, they can be a drivers dream. Do anything go anywhere with a trunk to hold your junk. From a huge horse power drag strip beast to a bass speaker SLP competition, the wagon can do it all...... even if you just throw the dogs/cats in for a sunday drive to get groceries...... A van is cool too but, a small/mid sized wagon is about as versitile as it gets........ Homer Simpson even built one.... The Inlaw bubble seat should be a standard option Just for fun....

IMHO, it looks Good to Ok.... No excessive build up or dry detonation noted. Possibly a bit lean......... Not too bad though.
A brand new plug (or a few) would be a better way to really get it dialed in.
If you can, Run a few different plugs with the same start/stop distance..... (don't throw out decent plugs)
With the pictures provided, it seems you are have a decent, road worthy scoot.
Are you having any type of bogging or lack of power at different throttle positions?

Indeed it has a few to manny wheels to fall under current laws....... Technology often surpasses legislation---- Heck you are begging to get pulled over on a public street with this ride, Maybe for a ticket or maybe out of curiosity---- It's still VERY cool... A floating monocock frameless vehicle....... Very cool engineering for sure, The price point maybe a bit excessive though.... Assuming it could meet silly antiquated road laws. Add a remote control or "drone" like qualities and this little offroad go kart (for lack of a better term) could be just what NASA needs to explore other worlds.... JMHO. Just a thought, How fun would this be to drive on the moon? ?

Like I said, "Some folks" may suggest the filter be removed..... It will be crushed a bit and slip into the inner ring of the magnet when installed. Not a reason for removal IMO but, others may argue it is not needed in the first place if regular oil changes are done.
Personally, All the preventative maintinace you can do is a GOOD IDEA in my book. At 600 miles just go ahead and change the oil anyway........ I do believe oil will never expire but, It's better to be safe then sorry.........
Build quality has for sure gone up but, all the little tips and tricks availible should be used IMO. Magnets are just 1 more step to help see issues before they result in a major problem.
Ride safe, stay on top of mechanicle issues and above all, HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!

Wow, I,m very sorry about the mess you had to clean up...........
A visit to Home Depot for a set of random rubber rings maybe a decent idea.... ( bought mine in the home plumbing area) A set of various sized rings/ plugs/ grommets and general rubber pieces that save a trip from a contractor........
Not real sure how we can help since you know the problem already but, EVERY homeowner should have a variety of rubber seals. (if you want kids or not) ---- Sorry bad joke
PLEASE, keep us updated on the project!!!!!!!!
Note--- I have had some problems with autoparts stores just because they often need exact Modle/Make/ Year of the vehicle being worked on, Most Scooters are not really in there database of parts selection......
Maybe bring the part in to be physicly looked at if your still missing the Big O......
