Lots of DTs 125 and 175 around here still on the streets, nanny govmint is making emissions harder this year and asking for catalityc converters on new and old two smokes, you can see people taking the bikes to inspection on pickup trucks because they can't pull its own weight with a cat fitted, after the inspection the owners remove the cat and keep riding them as usual. The DT in 125,175,250 and 400 is a tried and true reliable two smoker. not far off the YZ's of the day.

Did my BBK and it seems to be running good, but can't go for a test run cause it's too cooooold!!up here in Massachusetts. Whats up with this Chinese anyway it's all cheap junk and they can't even ship the right . They must have a bunch of "Botchacoloups" working at these places.Buy the way that's Italian for morons!! I'm really pissed today if you can't tell. I feel the pain with this winter stuff and get ready another Nor Easter is on the way. Slave labor and a ecological disaster in china. The product is so inexpensive that American manufactures won't even look at trying to compete with a true quality product. Just stay warm and settle into a nice adult beverage of your choice....

Gotta give honorable mention to this guy on a new Indian Scout at the AMRA all American Motorcycle drags in Rockingham this past fall. Off the show room floor trim and rear tire with a Air Shifter as you see actuated by his horn button was just able to break into the high tens. A member of the "Stock Bike Mafia" he claimed she thru down a honest 109rwhp, His ET's can be verified over on the AMRA site.. www.amraonline.com/

Ran across this of King Kenny is true form A 400cc two stroke before the days of variable exhaust ports had a power band as wide as a thread, that exhaust port was so big you could put your fist thru it. The chamber with its Non Silenced stinger would tickle the inner and Im sure to the hearing loss I have today. And the Smell! The Smell of Castor bean oil or Klotz was Nirvana!!!! I had a DT400 similar to this and was a beast to ride..

Interesting note is how little we have advanced in 50 years..

I happened to be close to the "Rec Ninety" gas station when we needed gas today, so I did the non-ethanol thing...I'm going to run a few tanks, and see if I notice any difference... Be good to flush the system with a few tanks you being in humid Florida Ill place my bet on you won't notice any difference.

We run her every weekend - unless it is raining - and will occasionally go through 2 tanks in one day... Oh heck your running enough fuel thru her that you should never have a issue. Just enjoy the ride..

Should my 2016 Kymco Super 8 150 be happy with 10% ethanol, or not? We have what is called "Rec Ninety" fuel 'round here - ninety octane, no ethanol. Would that be better than ninety-three octane e-blend? My scooter mechanic - the "Scooter Genie" - says to run the ninety-three octane blended stuff - and he deals mainly with the lower-end Chinese stuff - think new Baccios (like TaoTaos) and repair of old Chinese scooters. I ran one tank of the "Rec Ninety" stuff recently because, quite frankly, I needed gas and serendipitously pulled into the Valero in Port Salerno that had it. I said to my wife "hey, I'm gonna try this stuff - I read about it on the scooter board..." I guess I should have tried a few tanks... Try not to get all caught up in the technicals here. keep it simple, The ethanol absorbs moisture so the longer the fuel sits in your tank the more water it has absorbed, also the Ethanol is corrosive to Aluminum so the longer it sits there were you may run into problems. if you ride your Scoot weekly for months and months on end your constantly refilling you should and will suffer no ill effects. My Scoot and my CBR may sit for three or four weeks at a time especially this time of year so I have a good source for non Eth fuel I use
