I replaced the kickstarter gears on my Pronto 50cc gym 139qmb, and in the process I didn't pay attention to where a single, like half inch diamiter washer came from/is supposed to go! thanks in advance guys... this board is always a help  |

Thanks in advance..... In my BB kit I got two different exhaust gaskets... one copper ring and one sandwich style metal and paper ring.... which one is the correct/best one to use? standard gy6 139qmb - Mahalo You use both. Remove your exhaust pipe and you'll immediately see what KieKara and Geh is talking about. by "use both" do you mean either or, or both together? or are you talking about the NCY or the stock one?... ill go little more into detail with my problem.... Ive put 500 miles on the 100cc kit, and used the metal and fiber round disc/ring gasket on the rebuild. I always thought it was a bit loud, but chalked it up to just the larger cc's. After the first 50 miles I rechecked all my torques on bolts and everything was seated nicely. I just took off the exhaust to size it for a custom header (my buddy owns a sheet metal shop and just got a cold bender) upon inspection I noticed that the gasket had signs of a distinct leak! carbon on a quarter of the metal part of the gasket. however, it was seated properly, so this is why i thought maybe I used the wrong gasket.... after a google search, I see all three types of gaskets mentioned by you guys, so Im still confused on which will have the best seal (although Im assuming its the NCY style just because it covers the entire flange, not just the opening like the other two) Mahalo again - |
