Hmmmm. I'm still learning my way around these things... can many of these coils be swapped in and out or does it have to be a specific coil for my scooter? I noticed mine has 2 wires (blue and grey) coming from it. If I find a 2 cyl 50cc coil that has 2 pins should I be able to wire it into this scooter?
Any advice would help! Thanks for helping out and self-admitted noob.

Thanks Gate. I did talk to those guys and they claim they have the part but they said it would be $135 with a CDI. That's a bit more than it should cost. I just want the coil which should be less than $40, right?

I'm having a heck of a time finding an ignition coil that matches the one currently on my 1996 Qingqi. I know it's old but I have to imagine it's out there. Any suggestions??? Battery is dead but it kickstarted a few times. Now it won't do anything. Can't get a spark on the plug so I'm thinking a new coil might be the first place to start.  |

Hey Corey - have you had much luck with this? I have the same model (1996) and am trying to track down some parts.
