Any thoughts on getting the worn woodruff key out of the shaft without damaging the shaft?

So I couldn't find the woodruff key, but this is what everything looks like: Is the key still in there? Because there is a protrusion on the shaft?

Yeah I definitely do not have that. Must have not seen it when I disassembled. Could that be the problem?

What does the woodruff key look like. When I put the flywheel back on I say a slight raised keyway looking mark on the shaft and I slid the flywheel (which looked like it had a groove to match the raised keyway on the shaft) back on? Is there actually another piece that slide in the flywheel groove as well?
Yes I have mounted the muffler.
Thanks for the help

Checked stator wiring (bullet connectors).
Blue/Yellow = .14 Vac Blk/Red = 9 Vac
Does this tell me anything about where to go next?

Not that i have ever done this. But. Did you put the coil wire back on the spark plug? I'll check for spark.

Did you put the WOODRUFF key back on the crank? The flywheel has a slot that fits over the Woodruff to align it for proper timing. Yes the flywheel was put back over the keyway in the shaft.

4 stroke standard 50cc GY6 So she started fine before...but after I replaced the right crankcase cover, she just turns over but no start All I did was remove fan, flywheel, stator and crankcase...and put everything back together. Is there anything special about the flywheel and/or stator when reassembling. It seemed like everything went back together easy. Is there any kind of special positioning? Confused? ?
