I have a 50cc Roketa scooter that is now making a weird clunking sound in the rear wheel, if it is rolling real slow with my weight on it(engine off or on), it is kind of a clunk with a crackle sound that kind of goes with it.
I took the rear wheel off checked the drum brakes, the only thing strange was it seemed the bolt holding the wheel on was pretty easy to loosen, other than that I did not find anything in the brake or drum area out of the ordinary. So I scuffed the brakes up a bit(to get rid of some squealing I had) put the wheel back on and tightened it up proper. rolled it real slow again with my weight on it and the clunking seemed to be gone. so I attributed it to maybe a loose nut?(and it was tight just didn't take much effort to get it loose, not like I could have loosened by hand or anything)
Anyway rode it to work today and now I get a crack/clunk noise a gain but now when I pull the rear brake handle(this first time after riding a few lights down the road) If I pull it several times in a row after I stop it does not click. but also the click happens when I accelerate at first as well. might this be a problem in the clutch or gearbox? Not sure what I should check for next.
