Hey Guys -- Just picked up my first scoot. It's a 2010 50cc 4-stroke ruckus clone. Came with a box of go-fast parts and has less than 50 miles on it. Doesn't run well, of course. The story I got from the guy is that it was too slow so he bought a bunch of parts and started bolting them on and then never got it to run right. I picked it up for a song. It starts on the first kick but dies when you start to give it gas. I'm no stranger to carbs so I pulled the carb off, disassembled and ran it through my ultrasonic cleaner. Some compressed air, carb cleaner and some wire and I can confidently say that it's clean. Seemed to run better but still not perfect and eventually died while I was fiddling with it and I couldn't get it started again. The problem was obvious when I had gas that started to pour out of the intake side of the car. Anyone have any instructions on what the float level should be? The needle and seat visually look good. Do these go bad/fail? Also --I have two carbs. Both seem very similar but one might be larger. Anyone have a guide or instructions on how I can go about ID-ing them? Here is a picture of one. What is that connection at the bottom of the bowl? It looks like other carbs have a drain port here and a screw to open/close it. This one just has two ports?
