Recent update: I just found I could change the signature resizing code to make it resize people's signature photos to a acceptable level instead of giving the banner saying it had to be 150px or less. All signatures that had the banner will now show and be 120px in height.
Thanks

Added Features update. When reading posts in any thread you have a new button labeled as "Back to Home" which when clicked on does exactly what it says takes you right back to the Home Page. It is in the same row of buttons as Reply, Quote, Edit and your Likes Hand.
Also now in the navigation bar menu under the banner is 4 buttons:
Last Rider Post = the last single updated post by a member Recent Rider Posts = last recent updated posts by members Recent Rider Threads = last recent updated thread list by members Rider Birthdays = birthday list of members for current day

Oh and PS- the reason for the name this is the third thread I've created this year, and the third account. Your db is not doing a very well job of maintaining usernames and passwords. I use a universal pw for everything on line, I know stupid on my behalf, but it eliminates problems and helps identify sites that are being ran by people who have no coding skills, and should be paying a third party to maintain it. Maybe this is your problem?
The person who is not maintaining usernames and passwords is you, may I suggest sticky notes, works well for me, if I remember where I put them?

We always hear about all the bad and ugly stuff in the news and around us and sometimes I think we all forget about how to look for the good things that come along too? 2013 is just about gone, so if you have/know of a special story/video that warms your heart or just puts a smile on your face let's see it before 2014 sneaks in.
This video will for sure warm your heart and remind you of but one thing "True Love"

Just a simple note to wish one and all...MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR! Tomorrow, we celebrate another Christmas Day... It's fun, we like to give and receive gifts, we enjoy the pretty lights and music, but most of all, it's the wish of the Missus and myself that regardless of your religious beliefs, the Spirit of PEACE ON EARTH and GOOD WILL TOWARD MEN (Women too... LOL!) will abound everywhere to a much greater extent than ever before. AND... That 2014 will be YOUR BEST YEAR YET! Betty & Leo (spreading good will) in Texas
Same to ya Leo!

I just added a new feature that is called a thread summary "Quote" button. When you reply to a thread you have two types of reply options, the bottom Quick Reply window or if you look over to the right you'll see the button "Normal Reply"
This only applies to the "Normal Reply" function. When one hits the normal reply of course you get the window where you can type your reply but if you scroll down you see what is called the thread summary. The thread summary is of course replies from other members to the thread. But now look to the right at the top of each members reply and you will see a "Quote" Button.
Now of course when you are reading a thread that members have posted on you can single out a member to quote because every reply by a member has the quote button there to use. But after you hit the normal reply to post you can't view what members have said except to scroll down and look at the thread summary. I use the thread summary a lot when I'm replying because sometimes I have to reference what people have said when I do reply.
Now if you're reading the thread summary and see that a member said something that you missed earlier you can now hit the new Quote Button and it will insert that members words in your reply in the form of a quote like it would any other place.

Diode or no diode the only way a CDI can fire constantly is to be told to do so via the pulse wire input to it. As we both know Dave a CDI on a scooter fires on the exhaust and intake stroke so either the pulse coil was originally triggered differently for the ECU or somehow it's sending a solid unbroken current to the CDI you are using?
I would ground one of the wires to the pulse coil and use the other wire to go to the CDI, you have nothing to lose.

www.thescooterprofessor.proboards.com/thread/766/cfmoto-qlink-manuals
Click on the 150 EFI Charm Service manual.
Lets look at the firing system on this scooter in original form.
Two things stick out. The coil is fed from the battery and the ECU unit and the pulse coil should be a two wire type.
Only thing that I can think of that can make a system spark continuously with just the key on.
The pulse coil feed wire has crossed with a wire somewhere giving it a continuous voltage instead of an interrupted voltage feed which is telling the system to fire continuously.
Dave did you change the coil to match the CDI? Also you might test the voltage on the pulse coil feed wire from the stator with the key on and see if it does indeed have voltage, as we know it should be dead until you turn the engine over.
Also according to the diagram the pulse signal coil is two wire a positive+ and negative-. Most standard DC type CDI pulse coils are one wire positive+ with the ground ending at the to body where it bolts up to the engine case. It's possible that without it grounded it may be sending a voltage signal continuously? Also you need to check the engine for proper grounding now that you've changed it to the old style system.
Lastly are you sure you wired the new CDI correctly?
