I have installed 2 of that same kit and each time I have opened up the A/F screw until it falls out...I have observed fuel being "spit" out with every pop through the venturi and have been told that it is too rich hence the need for more air. The first engines popping was solved by installing a carb off a 150...and it runs nice...problem is I don't know what size this carb is which brought me here looking to see if anyone knows what is the largest venturi size a 50mm bbk can handle?

Thanks so much for the quick reply...guess I'll have to tear the engine back down...it is a new pump but did not see any oil being pumped up to the head while I had the valve cover off. Also left the spark plug off so I could get higher rpms out of the starter to no avail.

New here. I just finished rebuilding my sons gy6 50cc and installed the new oil pump that came with the kit. Question: Can the oil pump pump oil through the engine with just the starter turning the engine? I have been trying to see if the oil pump is working before I actually start the engine and rev it up and have not seen any oil come up to the head after a few tries turning the engine over with the starter. Did I need to prime the oil pump before installing? Thanks all for your help in advance.
