Hello, I also have a TaoTao evo 150, the little cap on the side of the carb you can remove it very easily with out removing the carb, You take a small size flat head scre driver like a 1/4 in head and on the carb you put it on the edge of the aluminum around the screw about 1/16 and tap it softly it will dig in to it and pop the cap off it does not hurt your carb at all I did it with a couple of 150 taotao evo I put together once you have that out you don't have to put it back in, Remember its just a little part of the screw driver you are puttin gon the carb do not try it putting the flat head on it horizontal to the crew, hope it helps.

Im using the map for volumetric efficency my map works fine I have a 8 pole stator, that is ac so it has 5 cables one is the crank sensor one powers head ligjts one charges battery one runs the cdi and the last one its on the coil ground if I remember corectlly the harness all it does is piggy back the wire from the sensor to the cdi so it fools the sensor it can retsrd the ignition or advamce it whatever you wish to, what I want to know is can I use a ac powered cdi and power it ac but plug the efi kit piggy back to it

So I got my efi kit last friday, I worked on it saturday it took me about 4 hours to install and get the bike running, now when I first put it together I installed the cdi that came with it so I could tune the timming but the bike started and died I couldnt figure out why so I removed the cdi I put my old one back on, I taped the 2 wires white and orange and it started right up, the cdi is dc, my bike uses ac, thats not really the problem, the problem is that the cdi takes alot of power from the battery and the computer sees it as a vpower problem, I am thinking on just using my cdi with the bottom plug from the kit and the top plug from my bike, I belive the top plug is just power to the cdi and the bottom still uses the pick up sensor for firing, I would have to check and make sure is not going to cause any problems but if anyone knows that I cam do this please ley me know
