Okay...here we go. I have a Peace Sports VIP 50cc. Usually, when she first starts up, she's a little slow and it's hard to get her above 25mph. But as I ride she warms up and gets up to a normal 35mph. As I was riding to school the other day, I realized that not only was she not speeding/warming up, she seemed to be gradually losing power and speed. At the next stoplight, she cut out completely and I had to pull off the road. Wouldn't start again. I spent the next four hours in the Advance Auto Parts parking lot borrowing all sorts of tools and pretty much disassembling and reassembling everything that I knew how to do, which ain't much. The manager of the store also tried to help me to no avail. We changed the spark plug, I adjusted the valves, cleaned out the fuel filter, and hooked it up to a jump box...none of this got her fired up again and I ended up having to walk her back home. Needless to say, I never made it to class. The manager, Sam, determined that she had spark but that it seemed she wasn't getting fuel to the chamber. This is also very similar to what happened to my old scoot, which still doesn't work and is now being cannibalized for parts...is there anyone who is familiar with my situation that can point me in the right direction to get her running again? I can't have another scoot die.

I've been reading the boards quite a bit as my little 50cc likes to stop working every few days, so I'm back on here learning how to become a chinese mechanic. You guys have been super helpful! I love to ride, so every time Scootie McScoot breaks down (like today) I'm back on the boards looking for solutions to my problem. I've got a Peace Sports VIP 50cc, she's a little small for my frame but gets me where I'm going (when she wants to). I also have another scoot, but she's not operational at this point and is living out her days as a part supply for my current ride. I still have a BBK to rip out of her and install on the new one, but I'm waiting for a day when my other scoot buds can come by and help out and document the transfer. I'll be whining about my current situation later tonight prolly, as I have to run of to a film shoot right now. Thanks again for all the help and advice! Nrmph
