have had my chinese 150cc about a year and a half now. speedometer dead along with the odometer but been logging miles each day/week in a calendar: imagine i have a bit over 500 now. of course ride short distances around SF more during summer BUT it's been sunny for months now - NO snow here!! used it a lot during America's Cup - riding everyday anywhere from 8miles to 14miles and more since i would switch photo locations during the races to get different angles, plus get away from everyone else (HUGE crowds!!). i'd like to ride it more but the roads are so terrible that at even 30mph i feel like i'll bounce off. the steep hills o this City dont help at all too.

Can I add to this same thread another Chinese Mystery - at least it is to me. I have a chinese 150cc that i picked up just a bit over a year now. First I hit a pothole in downtown San Francisco and it knocked out the speedometer and odometer. checked cabling behind speedometer and it was tight. lubricated it and checked the hub. it was turning when i rotated the wheel. still doesnt work (been like that at least). shortly after this, it seems the turn signals died. for a while it worked but didnt flash - just stayed lit until i turn it off after finishing the turn. took it to a SF Mission area motorcycle shop and for over 3 hrs they worked on it , charged me over $100 to tell me the part i gave them did not work so didnt install, plus couldnt see anything wrong with speedometer/odometer (still doesnt work), BUT they discovered i had too much engine oil and bleed that a little. I dont go there anymore ever BUT i really need to get these items fixed. I thought for the longest time that while manually blinking the lights i could signal my turning intentions; i just looked a day ago at the turning lights and the turn signals do NOT light up at all anymore though NOT into scooter repair i have removed the scooter panels holding the speedometer several times trying to troubleshoot finding the problem for the speedo/odometer (unsuccessfully), and also the inside panel under the handlebars trying to FIND that turn signal relay (i have both parts for wheel hub and relay) but havent had luck finding where that relay goes. anyone know and can explain it to me? is it a diagram online i can look at? i can replace the relay IF i can find the burnt out (hopefully THAT is the problem) if i can figure out WHERE it is. i dont have the shop space nor tools to replace the speedometer hub though. thanks in advance. NOTE: am packing for a three-month visit to spain so if i dont answer, it's cuz i am out of the states - my wifi is (very) iffy while in spain
