Thanks for the reply! I was thinking that was probably what was wrong but I just wanted to make sure it couldn't be anything more serious. I am hesitant to order another stock replacement as this one hasn't lasted very long. In the past when I searched for an aftermarket replacement I could not find one that I was certain would fit my scooter.

I have a Taotao 150 EVO I have recently been having what I believe are some exhaust issues that I can't seem to solve. Recently the scooter has been much louder than it ever has before and I haven't been able to find the cause of this change. This is the stock exhaust I had taken it off about a year ago to paint it as it had started to rust but no other modifications. At first I thought the exhaust gasket needed to be replaced but I have tried 2 different gaskets and still have the issue. It still seems to run fine but it is quite loud especially when accelerating. I am not sure whether I just need to replace the entire exhaust or if there might be something else wrong. Any suggestions on what might be the issue? Thanks in advance for any help!
-About 4000 on the odometer
-Regular oil changes
-Checked the valves and they were set correctly
-No major modifications, just replacement as stock parts have failed

I am currently preforming a winter overhaul on my Tao Tao 150 EVO. After removing the exhaust I have realized that the stock exhaust is in pretty bad shape. I was wondering if anyone has had experience in finding a aftermarket exhaust that fits well. I see plenty of GY6 exhausts on ebay but I am not sure how to tell if they will fit my Tao Tao. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
