Okie-doke. I'll check it out tomorrow.
All I did was crank it up and hear that it was loud as crap and then cut it off. I didn't know if it would hurt it to be the way it is, so I haven't even tried throttling it.
I'm fond of my scoot, lol, didn't want to hurt it.
Thank you all for your help. I ordered a new gasket, hopefully it'll come soon.
Y'all rock!

Thank you both! How safe is it to ride the scooter the way it is until I get a new flange gasket?
It's my main method of transportation and I've been catching rides since it went down, was really hoping it'd just be an easy fix!
I ride about a mile and a half to work each day and that's it.

Hi guys. As my name states, I am completely lost, and I am a noob. This while problem started when I was going to change the tires on my two-year-old 50cc peace scooter. I have the same thing as you see here: www.peaceindustrygroup.com/50cc-moped-scooters/65-tpgs-810-50cc.htmlThe tires got changed out mostly uneventfully, and everything went back smoothly as well! My problem is, now the scooter is loud. I suspect it has something to do with a small round piece that looks like a washer but isn't. It's part of the exhaust, has to be. It's the same size as the piece that connects to the bike itself, and fits in the hole. SO. My question to you folks is: Have I just placed this wrong, OR is it something that needs to be replaced once it's removed? I put it back in place and the bike is pretty loud, which tells me it's not sealing. If it needs to be replaced, could you all tell me where to get this piece, please? A thousand thanks!
