I live in Vanderburgh county and they do not like scooters here. The riders don't know how or where to ride.the laws are very vague and the car's will come close to cutting you off or going around you. They have a web site where they post pics of riders they think are breaking the law, or they don't like the way they dress. Here in Indiana you have to be 15 yrs. old to ride a 49cc scooter. Register it with the county for a sticker so if it gets stolen they can call you if they find it. There is alot of scooter theft here, and accidents also. Mopeds were allowed back into Indiana because of fuel crisis in the late 70's. The state made laws for them, they were a pain to use and when the fuel problem was fixed the scooters were few and far between. Now we are going thru another crisis with the economy and the Hoosier attitude has changed. Scooter riders are lower class citizen's.
