bad coil,,,,or terminals loose and its losing ground or positive ,,,,or the plug wire isn't either in the coil correctly or loose on the plug

i agree ,, sounds like the battery has a dead cell ,,check the acid levels to see if you have a dry cell

This is a shot in the dark,,,,got any practical joker friends?,,,, there's no way you burnt that oil without noticing smoke,,,no way,,,,,and if it was a leak,,the bike would be covered with oil,,,,,

With that kind of loss there is either oil all over the engine or in the belt case,,,or you're burning it,,,at that rate the plug would be fouled something fierce,,,,it would have hair like don king,,,you'd be driving a two wheeled mosquito fogger

Something doesn't sound right. An engine that is supposed to have 47 ounces of oil in it, is running fine with only one ounce......are you sure your drain is not plugged with something, and not letting it drain completely.....did it take the full 1.4 liters to refil to the top mark on the dipstick? With only an ounce of oil in the crankcase, not a single part of your engine was receiving an lubrication......I don't see how it would have run more than a few minutes under those circumstances. i agree ,,,that mill would have been toast within the minute,,,and would have rattled like a coffee can full of rocks,,,,

It's all restricted get a dynojet kit for the carb. A decent pipe and air cleaner on it and you'll probably not quite but get close to double what the stock output is,,,,it's half a sportster engine,,,,so 50 hp is completely doable and not out of the question ,,reliably,,,if you run the stock head pipe with a decent silencer,,carb kit and air cleaner probably be under $200,,, and a world of difference in power and more importantly how it's delivered,,,,,,and also if you have dough,,,,get rid of the idiotic belt and go to a chain,,,,,final drive ratio changes will also help the beast come out,,,,one of the reasons there's no top end is because of the crazy low ratio of that belt setup,,,,look at the size of the rear pulley!!!! Looks like a turkey platter,,,,,

ive run quite a few bikes with bodywork,,and have had more than one car interior that came up with squeaks and chirps,,,maddening!!!!!! i use clear silicone spray,,,never fails and lasts a long time too,,,most times the noise never comes back,,,on really stubborn panel squeaks i aslo have resorted to the little round peel and stick felt pads made for cabinet doors ,,,once i find out where it's rubbing i stick one on and end of story
