my call is the intake airflow needs to be increased and the fuel injection needs to be bumped up to compensate for the exhaust ,and i would be giving all the conections for the injection and ignition to see if the plugs worked loose or have corrosion ,,that may be the culprit as well

After 40 motorcycycles from Monsters, to crotch rockets to Harley's to Guzzi's, I'm more excited about getting a 150 than I was a year ago getting a Triumph Scrambler last year. Am I crazy or finally figuring out I had more fun 50 years ago on a Honda 50 than on a CBR900rr? Guess speed and power aren't everything. Even old dogs can learn i too like many here started small went big then found out what "real fun" is ,,,getting away from all the high hp and the speeding tickets that go along with it and the $1000 fall overs in the driveway,,,(just the tank on my s4 monster is $2000 in the box if you can find one,,,and the exhaust on it was $3200),,,i went small 350 and under a couple years ago,,,missed the big bore stuff little,,,altho i'm looking for an older bmw or a cb750k honda for two up,,,but the exotics are in my past unless i find a giveaway big bore that will be sold to fund the 750

"I wish you were close to Boston, we'd have so many projects man" I grew up outside of buffalo,,,i did my winter time,,now it's warm and sunny time,,Lain,,,,but if we lived close i'd be happy to help on any build,,,i've done dozens,,,no scooters tho thats why i'm here,,,,to learn,,,,stuffed alot of high hp mills in little stuff,, ( my alltime fave was 914 porsches with v8 chev engines),,,,chassis and suspension probs inevitably show themselves when you start pushing farther than design intentions,,,RCQ is on the right track,,once the chassis and suspension gets sorted the bike will be awesome!!!! i'll bet it will top 80mph without too much trouble,,,with a real comfortable cruise 65-70,,,and he won't have to worry about the thing blowing up

as i mentioned earlier on in this thread,,,the chassis will be and is the weak link in this build now,,,everyone gets caught up in HP numbers and completely overlook torque ,,even by Dans admission on another similar build the chassis exibited weakness and was overwelmed by the mill,,,if it was my bike i'd be giving the frame ( the welds in particular) the real long look and i would be considering a few judicously placed gussets and adding welds here and there to stiffen up the frame,,,i think your gonna need it,,,
