so i checked again and both the cdi's are getting the right input, but giving 0ac volts on the coil feed wire. im wondering if the trigger pickup coil isnt sending enough voltage, then agian i have 2 of them and they both test the same at about .2 volts i have also heard people talk about the regulator shorting out and frying the cdi... is that possible, and if so would my lights still be powering up when it tries to turn over since the lights run through the regulator?

thanks again for your attention, i will check the grounds again, i cut that wire right before it goes into the cdi and my scooter wouldnt even try to turn over unless its connected, am i following the bypass procedure correctly?
