There are the results. I completely wiped all the oil from that area and that yellowish oil started coming out of the seal.

Okay will try to take it off while it's running. The battery is dead from sitting so the electric start won't work.
The video should be working now, if it is any help.

Hey guys sorry I kinda abandoned this thread, I had to move into a new house so i've been moving and the weather is so cold I can't even get a day to look at it! anyways, finally moved, had enough money to buy a 6 gal air compressor and a 1/2 inch socket drill and got the variator bolt off! Here's where I'm at: I can't get behind that gear to see the seal!

I think it was because it was really cold.. it's working now at 33F degrees. I am having another leak in the back near the rear wheel..

thanks again guys! Moved that cable above and i'ma order another gasket because I'm afraid to tighten it anymore. The gasket does look a little damaged inside..
Also my horn doesn't work! What are some testing routes or things I can look for?? Fuse is good, and everything is connected. :/
Also it's a pain in the but to start! Takes over 50 kicks! If I electric start the battery just drains and dies. Do I need to gap a NGK sparkplug once I purchase it, or is it just plug in play? Also what are some other things I can check for hard starting?
Thank you!

Hey everyone, another issue with my scooter. I recently adjusted my valves, and replaced the engine oil because I DOUBT the previous owner every touched the oil.. I seem to have a leak (I have not ran it before I replaced the oil so I'm not not sure if it was leaking before or after I adjusted valves/replaced oil). Any ideas where I should check/what I can do to fix it? I have attached some pictures and soon a good video that does better than pictures. There seems to be oil droppings coming from these bolts that hold the exhaust? Also there's a vent under the motor (that blows hot air) that seems to have oil dropping from. I'm not too sure.. Thank you! You guys have been great help!

was adjusting my valves, as I was putting my 4 bolts back into the valve cover, 2 of them snapped... I was able to get the rest of the broken bolts out, but cannot find replacement screws anywhere online. Does anyone know where I can find the screws online; and any tips to prevent this from happening again? Thank you..

Thank you, haha I thought it was broken once I squeezed the hose and it was running a lot smoother! But wasn't sure Guess I was kinda half way there. Thank you so much for all the help Alleyoop for this issue and the other threads! On another note; does anyone have a spare battery cover lid from a used scooter? I can pay shipping or whatever just let me know. My zip is 37042 Thank you.

I replaced all my hoses with new one from autozone, so it's none of the hoses. I haven't taken off the manifold yet. I was looking at this thing (i don't know what it's called) and it has one big hose connected on one end, and 2 nipples on the other with nothing connected to them.. Could that be the case? Also I notice if I remove this hose and squeeze it, the scooter seems to idle better... Could the part be broken? I remember when I removed the original hose the top came off and I was able to push it back together, but it could have broke? I'm not sure.. Thank you. Also does anyone have an extra top that covers the battery? I can pay shipping or whatever just let me know how much. My zip is 37042

Such a troubling scooter! adjusted valves, replaced the CDI and ignition cord. new NGK C7HSA spark plug. Replaced the fuel sending unit gas float. Carb was cleaned a week or two ago cleaned all the jets. What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance.

Hello again everyone. Thank you again to everyone who helped me with my scooter. I got the idle fixed and found out the foam from the gas indicator was soaked so I ordered a new one. I still can't figure out how to connect the kill switch that should be connected to the 3 option switch on the right side. If anyone could help me with a good readable wiring diagram that could help me set this up, or has any experience on this switch and wiring it up, I couldn't thank you enough! Also I found this connector with nothing connected to it near the engine grounding.. Maybe it has something to do with the kill switch? There is also a connector near the headlights I cannot figure out.. Thank you!

Has anyone switched out their stock petcock? I think mine is struggling to get fuel to the fuel filter..
