Still have slight hesitation on the bottom. Have tried going slightly leaner and then richer and listening to the idle but doesn't seem to move up or down with 1/2 screw turn either way.

Wonder what would happen if you unplugged the choke circuit. Ok I'll let it run for 5-10 before changing anything and start out at 2.5 turns out

Two quick questions and I should have this scooter done.
First - Scoot says on the side, 10w-40 oil. Doesn't say how much oil it holds? I got some Rotella 15w-40, which should work I would have to think.
Second - What is the default air/fuel screw setting, or what do you guys run these at? The scooter is a Roketa 50cc 4 stroke, qmb139. Trying to dial it in. Has a little hesitation on the bottom, not sure if I can really dial that in with a fuel screw. Probably would need a leaner pilot I would think

Nevermind figured it out. It was because of the intake vacuum hose coming off.

Gas lines

Thanks. Got the lines straightened out and it was running great. For some reason it would idle high, and then low, got it to a good idle and took it for a spin. Trying to dial in the air/fuel screw, fuel screw was set at about 1 3/4 turns and I turned it out about another 1/2 (counter clockwise - richened). Now when I start it I have to be on the throttle or as soon as I let off it dies. Any ideas on this? I know where the idle screw is and tried screwing it in, but didn't see to have much effect.

I'll look and confirm in the morning. Pretty sure though, the line out of the side of the petcock is going to vacuum.

Ok so I disassembled the carb to clean, put it back together and now it's leaking out the bottom most line. Just to be sure I have everything right the gas tank has two lines coming after the petcock. Believe it's a vacuum as it doesn't have any lever to turn. One of those has a fuel filter on it, and that goes into the middle body of the carb, I know this for sure. The other one goes to the intake boot correct?
I thought the one on the bottom was for overflow. I'm sure that brass screw is tight, normally when that is loose it'll flow out of the bottom most hose.
The only other thing I can think of is that the needle was wasn't seated right. But when I flipped the carb over, the float molding lines were horizontal, indicating a good float level.
Anyone see any flawed steps?

Also this is where the plug from the engine comes up and connects... kind of messy wiring by the factory, will have to tie it up nicely. JR, since I didn't see any values, what does that mean? Time to check into a new stator? Also, I didn't have the headlights unplugged, should I? They come on with the turn of the key. Attachments:

Went to measure those values today. Forgot to bring home a good multimeter, but from what I saw, I wasn't getting any output AC voltage to the R/R. I tried both the yellow and white with respect to the negative terminal and saw nothing. Granted multimeter is pretty cheap and will have to check it tomorrow with a Fluke from work. But I also found this. The yellow wire wasn't attached in the clip. Something burned it up pretty good. Have to either find another similar contact or jump it. I did strip it and get good contact with an alligator clip to test it. Charged up the battery as you said JR, and let it sit for a night without being charged. Multimeter read 13.3V, when I checked it in the scooter while off it was like 12.6V and then fired it up, revved it and still was at 12.6V or really close to the same as previously measured. JR, yes that it was plugged into the female end in the harness. These two pics are the wires from the engine to the plug Attachments:

Thanks JR. Little confused on what to do next? Some reason still can't get the img photos from photobucket to work. Public profile is on and what not. I'll just attach pics through attachments I guess Attachments:

Scooter is a Roketa 50cc 4 stroke. This is the R/R out of the scooter. I can take another picture but this is the only one I had on my comp. Hard to explain without lots of pictures, but that 3 wire plug that has the yellow, blue/white and white comes directly from the engine (pictured above) and goes into the upper right spar of the frame where all the other wires are mounted on this scoot. Thanks alleyoop. I think it wasn't showing because it was set to private.

Here is what I took for pictures. I'm not sure where these lead to. The scoot starts and runs. Just isn't charging the battery from what I can see. Yellow, blue/white and white are the colors Attachments:
