Two quick questions and I should have this scooter done.
First - Scoot says on the side, 10w-40 oil. Doesn't say how much oil it holds? I got some Rotella 15w-40, which should work I would have to think.
Second - What is the default air/fuel screw setting, or what do you guys run these at? The scooter is a Roketa 50cc 4 stroke, qmb139. Trying to dial it in. Has a little hesitation on the bottom, not sure if I can really dial that in with a fuel screw. Probably would need a leaner pilot I would think

I use 15w-40 for Spring/Summer time riding....it's pretty much a standard weight for air-cooled engines anyway. Capacity is 800ml.
Be sure to adjust your air bleed screw only after the engine has warmed up and the fuel bypass circuit (choke) has closed ~ I'd give it 5-10 mins running first. If you can't find a nice setting, then I'd check/clean the pilot jet..

Wonder what would happen if you unplugged the choke circuit. Ok I'll let it run for 5-10 before changing anything and start out at 2.5 turns out

There's a bimetal spring (like a coolant thermostat) in the electric choke that heats up and expands and closes the circuit as current is applied. * I think* So, unplugging it will keep it in a rich state.

Scoot315, By DEFAULT the ENRICHER(choke as most call them) PLUNGER and NEEDLE are RETRACTED and in that position it feeds extra fuel for cold starts. Once the motor starts it then gets voltage and starts to heat up and the plunger starts to EXTEND out to COVER the hole that allows fuel to come in and within 3-5 minutes it covers that hole up.
So if you UNPLUG it then it will feed fuel ALL THE TIME COLD OR HOT and it will cause your motor to get to much fuel. Alleyoop

Still have slight hesitation on the bottom. Have tried going slightly leaner and then richer and listening to the idle but doesn't seem to move up or down with 1/2 screw turn either way.
