A p71 tops out about 125-130 with no pushbar or lightbar.

I admire the visual appeal of the Victories. They were beautiful (with a few exceptions). I think part of their problem was that they did not offer any sub-liter bikes. You need a smaller bike to bring in new and younger riders. -The other problem, in my opinion, was the pure mass of the bikes. I know a young, strong guy that injured his hip without his Victory falling. He stuck his leg out to hold up the bike in a low speed, panic stop and the stress damaged his hip. You need to be a durable guy to ride those things. You mean beautiful like this one? No worries about sub-liter there. Or pure mass. The dealer where I got Peej sold these things. I think it was almost as long as my old Taurie-wagon. Probably weighed as much. I believe it came with equipped with refrigerator and microwave oven. Plus a pull-out bed. I found a pic of some slight woman driving one when I Googled for an image to post. I don't believe it. Well, then again, I doubt the Vision could fall over, so she wouldn't need to ever be able to lift it. >'Kat I know a guy with one of those. His wife, all 5'3" and 120lbs of her, rides a full dress Goldwing.

On many bikes...if you actually want them to run properly, the first thing you have to do is make them not EPA-compliant by retuning the carb.

For nostalgia, I cannot find a reason to choose one of these over, say, a Yamaha SR400.

And everyone wonders why California is so tough on there air can you really blame them? I guess China's top leaders figure if a few thousand die they wont be miss with all the Millions they have. The numbers appear to be 1.4 to 1.6 million per year dying with the danger being for entire areas to become unlivable so more than a few thousand. They waited way too long to change their ways and are paying the price to catch up however they are now making the effort and the problem now has their full attention. A tough daily situation to be living with. Yes it almost happened here yet you still see naysayers wanting to delete systems designed to protect the air from their bikes patting themselves on the back for their ingenuity. Have you ever modified a bike, mechanically? If so, you're a hypocrite.

The obvious solution is to simply require ALL motorized scooters to be treated EXACTLY like any other type of motorcycles, problem solved.

Just remember, keep it below 35mph or you'll be screwed for sure. They might be out to get you after you file that lawsuit, lol. He may end up dead if he can't or won't skip town.

My first scoot was a Qlink Commuter Helix-copy...I have to admit, I liked the "snowmobile on LSD" styling.

Zongshen has their own importer: CSC is selling three 250cc Zongs now: an adventure tourer (RX3 Cyclone), a faired sportbike (RC3), and a naked "streetfighter" (RZ3)...all use the same liquid-cooled, counterbalanced, fuel-injected single. They also have the TT250, a dirt-oriented dual-sport using an air-cooled, carb's single.

First: you'll need a motorcycle licence for the scoot.
Second: a used Burgman 400, 2008-10 or so, is just in your price range.

Serious question: might a new carb crom eBay be cheaper than rebuilding the old one?

The solution is obvious: make a 50cc just like any other motorcycle. Problem solved.
