I also got my '86 Honda Elite 150 Deluxe @ 16K miles(16.8)in 2013! I have since turned it over to 17K,  almost a month later. I rode it out of the sellers drive way, on the highway/freeway in the rain! The best part was the ride home through The Avenue of The Giants!
Seller was asking $600 on craigslist, but i got him down to $450.cash  . It even came with a DOT older style helmet, a pair of safety glasses, ' Elite service manual, extra NEW belt, NEW headlamp and trunk(installed). Painted all flat-black (originally metallic blue).
The last time I rode it was nearly a week ago, it makes me  so I  about what happened.
I have read that these CH150D have the common GY6 Japanese engine. Which relieves me to know there are aftermarket performance parts available.
