Hey everyone,
I just picked up a 2007 Jonway YY50QT-6 scooter. Body was pretty trashed, so I am ordering all new plastics. (Side note - Anyone know of a good source for these?) I cleaned out the carb and it seems to kick start perfectly fine. All electronics work fine as it is running. It will not electric start though. I tested the battery and it was dead.... no voltage.
I am planning on ordering a new one, but I also wanted to test the charging system. Are there any guides on how to test this while it is still in the scoot?
The reason I want to test that, is when it is running, if I turn the turn signal on, the fuel gauge will drop on the dash. Also if I flip high beams on, it will drop as well. I just want to make sure that I have a fully operating charging system for the new battery and that it will not also go dead. (I realize these batteries can be charged, but I do not currently have one)
