No, not tried anything else. I just gave it a go as it was there.
I've just read the back of the bottle again, and it says safe for ski goggles, but not for scuba masks (specifically says those two things), so I'm not sure if there would be a different mixture for scuba/skin diver gear. I know from snorkelling that I always used to just clear my mask by filling with water then blowing through my nose to empty it again.
If I come across anymore little things like this again, I'll keep posting little reviews here, if that's ok?

I've read through your stuff again mate, and I'm still leaning towards fuel supply/vacuum.
Fuel filter? Lines connected up the right way? (Won't say old lines-I know you replaced them) Petcock? Vacuum blockage from debris in the lock up?
I'm sorry I can't help further.

I've been using this for about a week now, and I thought you guys wouldn't mind a quick review, as anti-fog is a fairly important issue.
I picked this up in my local motorcycle garage while I was in having a puncture repaired. It costs £8.99 a bottle (about $13-15, in direct translation but I've not looked at any US vendors). But the guy let me have it for £5 saying, "you spend enough in here" (damn that service schedule! Lol). So I thought I'd give it a punt until I get around to buying my pin-lock DIY kit.
My first thought was that the bottle is far too small to last, it's only 35ml (1.2 US fl.oz) and at more than a tank of petrol, I definitely wouldn't want to buy it week in, week out. But you apply it in such small amounts (about three very fine mist squirts of it coats a visor) that it'll last for ages.
You apply it by cleaning the visor, then giving it a light mist, which you rub in with a clean dry tissue. It says to not use a microfibre cloth. I have no idea why. The first time I used it, I did exactly as the instructions said and it worked fine. For about an hour, and then little bits started misting up, before I was practically blind in one eye: up went the visor.
So the second time I used it, I cleaned the visor as soon as I got in and applied the treatment, before leaving it over night (well, through the day-I was on nights at the time! Lol), and then giving it another application before I set off. This time it worked great, got me all the way to work (just over an hours riding) with the visor fully shut, lasted all night on top of my locker, and then got me all the way home again, visor fully shut, before the little spots started to mist.
The bottle claims it can last up to five days. It can't. Especially in winter riding, where you really need to clean the visor nearly every trip seeing as how mucky road spray makes everything.
So in summary: is it a good product? Very much so. It enables you ride with your visor fully shut, which is a god send if you're stuck in extreme cold, or almost constant rain (both of which are extremely painful anything over 30mph). Would I buy it again? For my visor-probably not. It just doesn't last long enough for me to consider using this instead of a pin-lock kit, or a fog city insert (if you prefer those). HOWEVER: for all the specky four eyes out there (like myself) it is safe for use on glasses as well! And for the first few minutes of riding with the visor fully shut, your glasses mist up, until they reach the same temperature as everything else inside your helmet. So I will keep buying it, just not for my visor! Lol
I hope you find this useful, please feel free to ask any questions.

i guess they wont be satisfied until the GOVT tells us when to wake, what kind of coffee to drink, what to wear, where to go, what helmet we must wear, what to do, when to do it. Daylight savings time tells me when to get up. Coffee and all other food stuffs must conform to government health standards. The government insists I must wear clothes. Restricts my access to numerous sights, civil and government. Motorcycle helmets must conform to ECE 22:05. The law, enacted by government, tells us what we may or may not do. Also, for certain activities, when we may or may not do them. All these things are perfectly normal for civilised society. They even provide a place for people who don't want to abide by societies laws. It's called prison. Ian

I've not got a lot of scooter experience, but do have plenty of general engine experience.
I'm going to have to sit down and think about this one tonight. First thought was, when you changed the lines, did you check the tank for the remains of a Chinese factory workers lunch?
I'll get back to you later, Ian

My elbows get in the way of my mirrors occasionally, and if I slip into the "more speed forward lean" I really struggle to see them.
I've got a problem at the minute where my scoot was nocked over by a cager in a car park. Everything looked ok but they've damaged the right hand mirror and it keeps flopping down, so I'm forever adjusting it now.

At a guess, I doubt it's the transmission that's locked. I'd suggest changing the engine and trans oil. Check both for debris (I doubt you'll be able check the engine oil for debris: if he's killed the engine in 77Km it'll probably be the original Chinese gunk in it). Get the valve cover off and check the valves and rocker gear for free movement, then get the belt and CVT covers off and see what you can move by hand. Hopefully you'll then be able to get it TDC and check the valve heights properly.
It could just be that repeated failed starts with no valve movement has air locked the cylinder. It could be a jammed ring or other mechanical failure if he's not run it in properly.
It does sound like thing has had zero TLC and may need some work.

Hmm, to keep my fog down I just lift my face shield a hair. . That's all well and good until it buckets it down with rain. Or you're stuck behind a lorry shedding debris, or making spray. Then you can choose between a fogged visor and a face full of rubbish. Ian

That nut was me, and it is a damned fine idea. There is no difference between somebody riding with a fogged face shield, windshield (bike, plane, car, control tower) and a drunk. You're absolutely insane if you think costs would go up considerably. The math just doesn't work. Safety SHOULD be mandated, when your failure to be safe could cost me my life. I'd vote for you!

Sounds like crankcase pressure issues. Your breather may be slightly blocked, or just generally struggling with pressure changes with temperature changes as you engine cools down/warms up.
You only really need to worry if its full on blowing the oil out of the dip tube, as your piston rings may be on the way out, causing pressure from combustion gases to leak in to your sump.
To give you some idea of how bad that can be on an engine, the diesel generators I used to work on while in the Navy had blast doors on the crank case to safely release pressure before the engine exploded.

look young man im done arguing with u. you go ahead and give all your freedoms up to your Govt
good luck, have a nice day Ask a straight forward question and..........."free thinkers" will fail to come up with a straight forward answer. I did give all my freedoms up to my government, for eight years. Now I only shave on days off, and actually have workers rights. Some people just don't know how free they really are. Ian

just because you like big govt to tell you how to do everything in your life, good stay where u r. i like the few freedoms i have left Do you also believe that speed limits, stop signs, traffic lights, taxes, emergency vehicle rights of way, disabled parking priority, criminal law, etc, etc, are purely there to restrict your freedoms, or are they there for a reason? I'm just trying to figure out which rules you like to follow, and which you don't. Of course, none of these rules exist in places like Somalia and Afghanistan. Maybe you'd prefer to live there and you wouldn't have to put up with all these damn restrictions that modern living impose on you. That literally makes no sense. Ian.
