Here is a short Youtube clip of my scooter. I pulled off the CVT cover this evening and apart from a little soot over the crank shaft, nothing else seems to be wrong the CVT.

sounds like you lost the ground . is this switch 2 wire ? Will the engine turn off with the ignition switch ? John It was, I pulled off all the plastics this morning and basically went around giggling connections until my scoot turned off. There were two wires, one brown wire and one black wire, that originally connected into the kill switch, but I found that my lights wouldn't turn on if I left them connected. However with both wires now spliced together the lights now work. For now I will simply leave as is and see how it goes.

Okay, I rode it home this evening and the rattle/ vibration only occurs around 30/31 mph speed up or slowing down. Beyond that the scoot runs normal. Even

This might be a stupid question, but where is the clutch plate?

[replyingto=geh3333]geh3333[/replyingto]It doesn't vibrate all the time, only when I eccelerate at certain lower speeds and then I let off I let go of the throttle to slow down! I only have had the bike less than three months and kind of feel I should drive it back to the shop and demand they fix my problem. The warranty is only supposed to cover parts, but I think it's a bit much to expect me to cover something major like this! What do you guys think?

Really? Is that a fairly major repair, and I take it you mean engine bearing?

[replyingto=scooterboy]scooterboy[/replyingto]Anyone? Am I likely to be left at the side of the road? This evening I put it up on the center stand and reved the engine, and I think the sound is originating from around the cvt and being conducted through the engine to the exhaust. When I lay of the throttle the immediately goes away.

Changed the switch on the dash today, no luck. If I close switch it starts up, but will not shut the bike down. The headlight doesn't work with the new switch in place.

When I am out riding my bike, and when ever I am speeding up or laying off the throttle I feel and hear a very loud intense vibration noise coming from under my right foot. My scooter taotao roman 150 still gets up to 55mph+.
Is my problem likely to be something like worn roller weights or something more worrisome?
Thanks,
SB.

[replyingto=jerseyboy]jerseyboy[/replyingto]Okay, I haven't yet been able to get in touch with my scooter dealer, and I am still a bit confused about what I need to be replacing. I had thought that what people referred to as the kill switch button was the actual bit that I needed to replace, but when I went to find a replacement online, I saw that the kill switch seemed to refer to a different part entirely. www.eagleatvparts.com/product_info.php?products_id=92274 I am not sure where this part is located on my scooter, but I thinking it is probably attached to the key ignition. Am I right? I don't really wish to be pulling things apart needlessly. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, I pulled off the dash cover. pulled out two of the wires and then connected them together. My light came on instantly! I only have the low beam light, but that's still better than nothing.
Hopefully I can get a new kill switch pretty soon.
Thanks again,
SB.

The other day after doing some general maintenance to my scooter, I went for a ride, but when I got back I couldn't get the thing to switch off and was forced to have a local mechanic install a kill switch under the seat. Again today I went start it up after attempting to look for loose wires, I discovered that both of the headlights no longer works, and even after I removed and replaced the smaller bulb, I was still not able to get it light.
Any ideas? I am at my wits end.
