So im still at the doesnt quite leave the driveway situation ... Well it leaves but cuts out , boggs or something .... yes i am very new with these things , but I figured they were simple like and here I am ... hehe I have to check the clutch /variator or whatever ....... it idles ok , revs at idle up a little high before engagement ... then its kinda jerky, then boggs or cuts out due to load it seems... ? what did i change ? well prolly lots of things...... adjusted carb screw , had 'custom air tube and filter' on there cause it would start up and idle real easy , but it seems to cut out right away ....... I know there are lots of articles on carb tuning out there , but then i would be reading the basics forever certainly i am gonna continue reading , but THANK YOU ALL for the advice and suggestions so far apparently I have upset the delicate balance I would like to try to run an aftermarket air filter setup , for a little more response ,but gonna need it to be reliable ......... its a 150 bashan peace ..--..--- lol been sitting , i added some gas treatment , runs and smokes a bunch ...replaced stator, changed the oil, gonna try to run this thing Can the clutch thing stick , cause it to stall?? I removed the belt cover , and found the broken kick star bushing .... replaced the kick start stuff-- hopefully it inst causing issue s other wise must be the carb suppose i could adjust the a/f screw a little Looking to test run this scoot tomorrow ;D

doesnt start with stock air box , needs more restriction.... with a custom like air tube and filter it fires right up and idles. idles decent with thtis "custom temporary air filter" setup ( like if i covered the air tube making more suction/vacuum) Needs the restriction / suction to make vacuum to get the gas I figure ... can anyone tell me more about why it is not starting with the stock air box??

thanks guys ...
yeah apparently the plug boot had a broken resistor in it ... I repaired it with a piece of screw ,
I cleaned the stator again , cleaned some grounds , tested for spark .......
got a little spark back .. AND got it to chug !!! , first time in a while , then -- nothing
Seems the stator or coil isnt putting out enough juice
there is this great troubleshooting guide in the tech section on these forums !!
ima gonna get on it with a test meter and tryn see if there is enough juice outta the cdi
I just found it a little whil ago

welllll sorry I have read and read , cant find any much in fo on plug wires/coil and I am un familiar with them on scooters so far
so as far as I can tell it must be some type of resistor ?
ok ok ok
When I take the plug wire out form the boot and put it near engine ground, I get lots of spark from the copper center of the plug wire to the engine . quick blueish spark with a decent arc distance .
When I twist the plug boot back on , and stick a plug in , it doesnt spark .
Oh this is with a brand new plug .
So it sure appears there is juice up to the plug boot and then doesnt make it through the boot , plug is brand new ---
Could it be not enough power to spark the plug ?? would that be the stator or maybe just plug coil ot cdi ??

Hey thank for the tips Im on board with the nbad gas at the moment gonna drain it and add cleaner and fresh gas and try a new plug The battery seems to hold a little charge, cranks the scooter on it own for quite a while, seems ok to me so I have also tried two spark plugs ... the other was an old go kart plug that was still ok ...didnt try it in the engine , just to test for spark after cleaning and checking the stator , I checked both plugs and saw spark. still couldn't get it to fire while cranking I took off the spark plug wire/coil and inspected the plug boot , when taking it off I twisted plug clip connection out and seemed to find a spring and a little piece of something it appeared to be plastic or possibly some sort of resistor or something . I cant explain it so it went coil-wire-boot connection- ?resistorz?-spring- brass plug connector anyone seen something like that ??

Hey yall I am new here cause i need some help
I have been freaking on this non starting issue for days .......
I have been trying to get this bashan peace scooter thing to styart for days
it has been sitting a while .
it had a dead battery , no spark ... I charged battery , then no spark , I checked spark briefly with another cdi and plug wire STill no spark I removed stator cover, cleaned stator and reinstalled
Got some spark , it appeared kinda weak , but still sparking pretty well ( maybe still weak)
put back together , and NO LUCK
tried lots of gas , not even a chug
gas has been sitting a lil while , but , seems clear ... Spark was still there , but not found when plug in chamber... carb seems ok clean , maybe old fuel air box was removed compressiopn seem s good . good vacuum , and pressure 2012 scooter, 4200 miles lastly just checked spark and have MAD spark fir wire to case , but minimal spark from plug ......
is this just a the plug???
( plug looks like it is new, has hardly been used)
Looking for any ideas
thank you for any advice
