Ow, also, the bike is kid sized, so extremely small! It's not a full sized bike! Its a mini chopper but not kids sized. Heres a 200cc Chinese mini chopper same size different model hint the exhaust and frame. I know it's size, however you can easily put a 7 - 14 year old kid on it, and it'll be able to ride it like an adult rides a cruiser... And as you can see from the vid, that bike has some acceleration power! Nothing I'd need, but it does shoot forward very quickly. Personally I'd be happy with a 100-125cc engine if it has gears. That's why I went with this motorcycle: www.superiorpowersports.com/127cc_motorcycle_p/rk127mc-05.htm

That spring is for higher belt tension, necessary sometimes if you have a BBK, or larger bore engine, and take off power is so high that the variator slips. Generally you will want to keep the spring as low as possible, without the belt slipping. Belt slip usually happens with either the belt completely at the lowest, or highest gear.
That spring is balancing out the roller/slider weights, so if you increase spring tension, you should also increase roller/slider weight to get same performance.
You could also increase the spring's tension to stay longer in lower gear, instead of using lower weight roller/sliders.
The good about heavy spring, heavy weights, is that it's easier to balance your bike to run optimally. The bad is the heavier the springs and roller/sliders, the quicker the belt will wear out, and the hotter your CVT will run (and the less efficient you'll ride)

I left a negative feedback on a seller once, and it was removed, because he won the case. Because someone signed off the package, that whatever drop shipper shipped to the wrong address, they saw that as a proof that my package did arrive (which it did, but not at my home).

You should be able to get 55-60MPH out of a 150. Mine does 62-63 tops, I'm sure that the taotao PX150 does 65MPH, due to being slimmer, and lighter in weight.

Usually, not sure in your case though, but usually when a scoot runs fine, accelerates great, until nearing it's top speed where it kind of abruptly stops accelerating, means a restricted CDI. Even an unrestricted 50cc 4 stroke should be able to go 40MPH, mine does 47 at ease, and with a little tail wind passes 52MPH.
A 2 stroke should go at least 50MPH I presume, possibly even faster (to 60MPH).

Very nice! Looks like they copied the engine design of my EVO, great machine. You probably will be able to go 65MPH with yours on a good day. I don't like all the vacuum hoses all over the place like that...
The ATM50 was a way simpler design.
Aluminum exhaust is good (does not rust, unlike the other bikes). If there's anything,I'd say the exhaust pipe, coming from the engine tends to rust on my EVO, the paint chips away a bit. So if you can find a solution for that, would save you a rusted pipe in a year or two (not sure if there's a lot you CAN do about it, other than taping a layer of fiber wool around it.
On my EVO, the vacuum hose from the tank (top) was broken, resulting in gasoline spill when overfilling. Easy fix, however, I can't top off the tank, or the engine would stall, due to gasoline drops being injected in the cylinder.
I also had to tighten rear fender bolts a bit, and mount the horn (behind the plastic), or it would jam the handlebars.
I think in general lines this scoot is smaller (lower above the ground), though largely the same internally than my evo; except, you have a performance exhaust; which is ok, because the EVO's run neither rich nor lean.

One of the reasons I don't buy with ebay anymore!
I ordered 2 items, never arrived, and paypal and ebay did not refund my money. Someone signed for the package, but no way to know who did. So F them! Their loss!

I think if a chinese version with an all aluminum engine block (that's what they usually are), is being manufactured, it could be sold for less than half the price, and be almost as good! Like % the performance, 75-79% the handle ability; and probably 33-50% the engine life. It could be a fun motorcycle. They don't have those chinese bikes yet, but if you want something small, why not go for a small motorcycle like these?: All 3 of them are 125cc, and range between $1200 and $1550 delivered at your door step.

Ok, it's going to arrive wednesday morning. I already purchased oil, any recommendations on PDI? It's a different machine than a scoot, surely might get challenging. Also the website did not PDI the bike, so I probably have to remove the fenders and Tupperware, and start locktiting all bolts (not looking forward to this)...

They always put the best MPH on them that is what gets the sales, so when they say 60mph + or-5 that thing is a DOG for a 250 out of the crate its a pig. Sure you can make them go faster but for a chopper it should haul out of the crate. It is just for looks and putt putting around looking cool, but you got to wear a bandanna otherwise you will look like a wuzz Alleyoop Not always true, They post generic speeds on those websites. Best example would be the TaoTao ATM50, rated at 35MPH. I can do 50+ with it, almost completely stock, on a good day. On a bad day it's still doing 43 (with flat tire, and wind against me). The BMS TBX260, originally got a 75MPH rating. As soon as I mentioned I could do 83MPH on a forum, they updated their numbers to on the website. Also their MPG numbers show 65, but I got 82 out of it best case. Most of the time I was in the upper seventies, or lower eighties with that bike. It's been mentioned before you can do 70mph with that bike. I don't know if that's stock or with sprocket change, but the 250 engine should be able to get the bike to 85MPH, as there are no CVT losses there, and the bike is very low above the ground (less wind drag), unlike most other 250s (like the roketa's etc).

A 125 is actually the smallest engine to ride around even on the highways; or with 2 people going 50MPH. 125cc's usually can get great gas mileage! Almost looks like a mini-ducatti!

it actually can go faster with a sprocket change, and some people have gotten to 70MPH stock out of it. Th 60MPH is just a generic number they put there.
I think realistically you won't get it past 72-75MPH.

it's been for sale for little over a year now, There have some youtube reviews been made. So far, the pro's where: - manual gears - Nice loud straight pipe - Chain drive (meaning you can sprocket change for faster top speed) - Ridiculously fast for such a small machine (feels like you're floating with your nose 2 in above the asphalt, while going 70MPH; ok, not that bad, but still badass! ) - Super fast acceleration, much much much faster than even a Burgman 400! The cons where: - Hard tail (meaning you feel every bump in the road. Ride on track-like roads only) - In some states the saddle is too low (illegal low), so find out the laws on minimum seat height in your state - Possibly illegal loud (no muffler) - Manual transmission (might not be for everyone) - The rear fender is not good. They have one with a full fender, but on a rainy day going slow, actually gets your back wet, and your backpack or coat can touch the tire if you're not careful. I personally would take the other one, most websites sell 2 models, the one with full fender is more appealing to me.
