[ I have added a set of old shock absorbers to the bottom of the seat. Where it is attaches to the bike... sincw hitting a bump on that bike is..... life altering to say the least not surprising since you only have, at most, 2" of rubber between the road and the rim. i would imagine you suffered a few bent, or broken, rims too. flat tires on these types of bikes are probably pretty common. one other thing, try not to ride it on sidewalks. this isn't out of respect for pedestrians, but for your safety. ride on the sidewalk, come to an intersection, then blow right through it. it's easy to do, and it can be deadly. a 45 MPH bicycle, sounds almost as fun as my 250. Actually... had the front left rod of the fork snap when i hit a pothole while avoiding a person walking across the street (not in a crosswalk)... lucky for me i had my riding jacket on =_= the back shoulder and elbow pads saved me major bruising.... but i had to rebuild the bike... strengthen the weld points and reienforce with higher quality steel.. made the whole bike about 10 lbs heavier . But no degradation of any base structure of the bike... would of loves to catch the crash on vid.. i had all ny scooter year on EXCEPT my helmet... i just rolled into a ball in midair (mostly tucked my head and wrapped my arms around my head and neck they they would take the damage.... some how. I skid.. not rolled to a halt... so that was the last time i rode without a helmet (you know the mentality of"im going 2 miles down the road") And oh the other subjeck of going 45 on the bike... its great to follow those crew of cyclists and speed up farm behind them... get up to like 47-48 and coast while streamlined.... give everyone in the bike group a good laugh as i fly past them and they see whats down below.
